    Hi,

    Having trouble logging onto to my google account on my android tablet, getting the error message unable to establish a secure connection....

    I have seen some suggestions on sites that I tried but no luck, I have done a factory reset on the device and still can't log on.

    The problem doesn't appear to be with wifi either, wifi working fine with all other devices.

    Working on android 2.3....

    something like this happened to a guy here when he was trying to log into his new phone. I did some googling and the solution i found was to log into the Youtube app.

    So open the Youtube app, log in there. Try that!

    Thanks, yea seen that alright but can't find a you tube app on the device. Haven't tried to download one yet as couldn't log into Google account to then download it.....

    Might be an obvious question but do you have 2-Step verification on your Google account? If so you'll need to generate a unique password for your tablet.

    No, not this, when I enter username and password and press next, the next page won't open and I get the error message

    have you tried logging into play from a computer? see what devices are active and verify your account

    Think I got this sorted - the time on the tablet was set to automatically set/update and was wrong. Just manually entered it and got logged on!!!!
