Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    2-2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    JT suspended for this.

I expect Chelsea to line up as :

    Cech

    Ivanovic Luiz Cahill Cole

    Mikel Ramires

    Mata Oscar Hazard

    Torres

After our recent win away to Arsenal I'm more confident we can win here but I'll take a draw all the day long if I was given the option before kick off.

AVB will want to put one over us, naturally.

    I'm going say we'll win 2-1 though.

Everyone keeps saying that JT being out is a huge boost for spurs but he's struggled with our pace the last few times he's played at WHL so I'm a bit disappointed.

It's also been like three draws ina row at the Lane so hopefully a big win for us this weekend.

Ade could start given Defoe came home a day late and Ade could of been training an extra day!

I think JT been suspended is better for us IMO, it allows us to play 2 quicker CB's which we'll certainly need against ye're lot at the Lane.

Defoe, Cahill, Cole were all away longer then they should have been but we really need Cole to be 100% against in an form Lennon.

I reckon this will be a dull affair, i can see this being flat due to the Internationals. I'll go for a 0-0.

Goals in this. I'm going to go with an ambitious 3-3 draw.

    Chelsea team:

Cech; Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Cole; Ramires, Mikel; Oscar, Mata, Hazard; Torres

Presumably a 4-2-3-1 formation, surprised to see Lampard omitted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

    Spurs team:

Friedel; Walker, Caulker, Gallas, Vertonghen; Sandro, Sigurdsson; Lennon, Dempsey, Bale; Defoe.

Subs: Lloris, Dawson, Naughton, Falque, Livermore, Townsend, Adebayor

    Still no Ade starting:(

Dembélé being out for us is a massive blow! sickened! The sig hasn't really proved himself yet and it'll be interesting to see how he fits in alongside Sandro.

Getting nervous for this game, but I'm gonna go with a 2-2 draw

Pfft. No loyalty to the team. Players these days. Choosing family over their team :P

    Score draw.

Huddlestone is gonna struggle in midfield.

Ya at least he can pass well though hopefully when we have the ball we can ask some questions wish Ade was starting though.

Maybe this is AVB's way of making Ade hungry?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Just noticed Friedel's back in. Not ideal to be rotating goalkeepers at all. Pick a number 1 and stick with him AVB!

A 12.45 kick off directly after internationals? This is likely to be a borefest.

Delighted Bale is out that good for us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Mikel has improved so much over the last few seasons.

Anyone else seeing a series of numbers above the Sky Sports 2 HD logo in the top right corner?

Just disappeared now but I'd guess they're trying to identify streams?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

Little Oscar is a great little player - unlucky with that effort...

Spurs playing a high back-line here, they're playing a dangerous game

They done that with Sky Italia a few years back & caught loads of streams out & shut off the cards

    Some finish from Cahill

Some ball by Mata to Hazard there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,890 ✭✭✭✭klose

Serious chanting going on here :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

The goal should make for a better game anyway. Spurs have to come out fighting now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

Chelsea dominating this in midfield where Mikel and in particular Ramires have been impressive.

Some nice touches from the more attack minded midfielders too. Hard to see Spurs getting back into this one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,885 ✭✭✭Optimalprimerib

Does Dempsey know who he is playing for?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,364 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren

    Poor recovery from Mata.

    Should be 2-0.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

Superb block there by Mikel - that would have burst the net.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

Replays showing a slightly deflected shot for the goal - No matter though, an absolute peach none-the-less...

    Sublime

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

A good yellow to get there....

    Chelsea were away big-time

    Spurs fans aren't half impatient.
If it's not a forward pass there's a clearly audible collective groan, even when there's nothing on.
