I know it's been out a while and probably posted on this thread already, but I love this song and the video too. Just beautiful and makes me feel all happy and fuzzy inside watching it.

I have a video of him performing that at the o2 on Saturday. 12,000 people singing along to the chorus seriously made me quite emotional :P!

If anyone likes the female singer in Same Love, Mary Lambert, she released her own full length version of the song.

Its a sweet song, I heard it on Spin in the car the other day.

I normally can't stand rap but Macklemore seems to be different. Its nice to see someone standing up for what they believe in as opposed to stuff by 2 Chainz or Wiz Kalifa who just rap about girls, money or cars or awful innuendos about oral sex like Flow Rider.

It reminds me of fun. even though the whole band is straight they do alot of LGBTQ rights, they sell tee shirts for a LGBT charity (3 of which I own), play for nothing at LGBT pride etc. but they are an indie band. I guess Paramore are as well since Hayley Williams has spoken for gay rights several times.

Anyway distracted, there is homophobia in some rap artists, its really nice to see someone being different.

It really was a super gig!! Pity they didn't play all the 'singles club' tracks! But yeah, Landslide made up for that. They were great :D

Savage stuff! I got a meet and greet with them last time they were here. Of course, I ruined it blubbering like a baby to Hayley but was life-changing. Hope it was the same for you! :pac:

Now I've got post gig blues :(

Autobahn by Kraftwerk (1974). Absolutely groundbreaking electronic music for its time.

I'm in the same boat. It's rare enough to see them. Get on their Facebook page and demand action. I think they update it fairly regularly.

This has to be the most raw song by a gay/bi man that ive ever heard. My mouth has not closed yet. I would love just 5 minutes with this guy to hear his opinions on stuff. He seems to be something else.

OH GOD I LOVE JOHN GRANT!!!!!!! I had tickets to see him and then couldn't afford them.:mad::mad:

This is my favourite of his though. I could listen to it all day...

Also this is the cutest song and video I've seen in ages. It's so nice to see a 'real' looking lesbian couple in a video.

Has anyone come across the Dublin guy Andrew Hozier Byrne. His new song is causing some small stir and is powerfully anti homophobic.

What does it say that there is a thread dedicated to individuals making announcements to strangers about what music they are listening to?

Why would anyone want to do that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,156 ✭✭✭✭Annasopra

Mysteryhour Please desist in trolling the forum. Posters do not have to justify themselves

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
