Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello there,

We're looking for a piano or chromatic button accordionist for our folk punk band. Currently we're a whistle player, a bassist, and a mandolinist. A fairly casual thing to start, ideally getting some tunes written, maybe trying to find a gig or two to play.

Influences along the lines of the dreadnoughts, gogol bordello, the tossers, etc. Looking to incorporate elements of trad, bluegrass, klezmer, gypsy, and more. An interest in any and all types of folk music is welcome and encouraged!

Your job in the band will be mostly accompaniment, though if you want to play melody that could certainly happen, too. If you want to sing, that's good too. We are sans guitarist and will probably leave it that way, so you would be the main accompanying instrument. We are also sans drummer, which may or may not change.

We'll practise in a building very near to Pearse street station, probably about once a week.
