Eircom fibre Packages and prices

They were on the site this morning but now they've disappeared. All I can see is the old packages for ADSL.

Any chance of finding them for me or putting them back up?

I thought some parts of Ireland have been upgraded? I think Dublin and Waterford have fiber broadband with eircom. Surely they'd have the packages listed on the website for potential customers in the aforementioned areas.

on the right of the page it says: "Is Fibre broadband available in my area?", when you go to that, it brings you to the bundles page, which wasn't there this morning.

Eircom, honestly they really have no clue.

Up to 8 meg ( so you not going to get that) 10gb of data a month honestly whats the point?

You can can buy 20 euros of credit and get free texts for a month and use your phone off peak and anytime.

Why would anyone pay 55 euro and extra a month for this, is beyond me. Eircom still offering very little, as they've always done.

You'll get 8Mb if you live near the exchange. I get 12Mb when I upgraded to the up-to-24Mb package shown here:

Yeah, that doesn't excite me either. I'm not interested in their mobile sevice.

I think it's a mistake. I mean, those have to be errors on the page when they were designing the layout, especially the 10 Gb usage part because that's bullsh!t.

Be wary of the line checker. My exchange isn't NGB enabled yet I get the message below. They must be desperate for business..

"Congratulations. You are able to get our superfast next generation broadband."

You may be connected to a different exchange to the one your number 'started off' on. Especially if you have the number for some time.

Unless the exchange boundaries have changed, i'll be stuck on ADSL1 forever

You can check the boundaries pretty accurately here ( they load couloured in Orange after a few seconds)

In the example you see where a small area was 'cut out' when a small cabinet exchange was installed. That wasn't good news as no ADSL was installed in that small cut out area ...a few miles outside Dublin. The pattern is repeated elsewhere, eg around Naas etc.

Eircom, 150 mb package is better than UPC 150 mb package because their uploads are better.But people in Ireland will be looking to spent less not more on their broadband.

Eircom 150 mb is 70 euro and UPC 59 euro make it 60 difference off a ten euro.

Eircom realistically needs to get the price down if people are going to pay for that. Most of the customers who likely buy it will be young people and business people. I can't see many people above 40 years old needing 150mb even 50mb.

Not to mention eircom has a download cap of 500 which would get figuratively raped if you had a full house of young Internet users but the upload speeds are brilliant.

I contacted UPC about upgrade my area and they said they've no future plans, so I'm stuck with eircom - I'd rather have multiple choice.

I really hate this technologically-impaired country.

I just noticed the same, very odd, wonder they going to adjust the pricing, or getting loads of phone enquiries and decided to pull the info from the site.
