burnt laminate mantlepiece

    HELP!!!!

    I had a tea light candle on the mantle piece which is laminate, and it scorched it. ahhhh please help, im renting the house and want to fix it. im worried the landlord will kick me out and withold my deposit if i tell her.

    I've no idea why this was posted in the UL board:) Moving to the DIY board.

    (demonstrating my comparative lack of knowledge of anything that is practical, I've only the vaguest idea of what laminate is - I assume it's some sort of plastic or fake wood. You might be best off owning up to your landlord about your lack of tea candle (I know what they are - I call them "fire hazards") skills but the DIY people might be able to help. Hopefully they will.)
