smell off paint

friend of mine painted a room with old paint ,i went in to the room today and there is a bad smell in the room. i asked him was the paint ok he said he scraped mould off the paint in the can before painting it and busted on. will the smell go:eek:

I hate the smell of gone off paint... turns your stomach - Dont know if the smell will go, never used it before to test it!
