Returned to Ireland in September after six months in New York. I've send emails/facebook mails to nearly everyone I knew over there, hoping that they and their families and friends are all OK.

Wouldn't normally be the type to worry over stuff like this, especially something so far from home, but I can't help but feel a little anxious tonight.

13 feet can flood the twin towers site and thereafter into the subways, if maintained for any length or exceeded. High tide is @ 00.53z and it looks like this may exceed 14 feet. 13.26 feet at 00:12z

There are already reports that some subways have flooded over on some New York forums. There is even talk that areas in Zone B which was not evacuated are being flooded.

Have you any links to that? I've been trying to check since I saw the tweet saying we were two feet pass subway flooding levels but can't see any confirmation of it

I was really hoping for some really exciting dramatic storm footage, this is all rather tame.
