    I was watching CNN on TV, its free on freesat, and it was pathetic. It had several reporters standing around in knee high water as the "surge" lapped at their waterproofs....it was dull. After 2 hours of it, I gave up and came back to my PC in a bid to find some danger!

    I'm watching the weather channel live coverage (with loooooong add breaks!) and browsing boards.ie, Reuters live blog, twitter and American weather. I may have a problem....

    did anyone see the person walk right up to the edge of the water on the NY harbor cam, the camera swung around to catch him/her but then swung back again.... it looked absolutely crazy! huge risk of him/ her getting pulled in... the cam doesn't seem to be working now either... araghh!! crazy stuff!

    Me too, jumped onto this roller coaster a while back.

    Widespread confirmation that loads of subways are being flooded. I would imagine it will be a long time before they will be up and running, saltwater is not he best.

    Makes you wonder what type of flood defenses they have in place. Questions for another day I suppose.
