    You win the Lotto,

    1) Give up the day job, or take some unpaid leave ?

    2) Get in the decorators - (and NOT that chap off RTE  )

    3) Order up a porta shed or something like it with heat and a hoist ( you have enough tools already ;) )

    4) Put your 'project' in there and start working like they do on Wheeler Dealer / Desert Car Kings / .....

Q - WHAT car would you choose to do/finish as a project.

Me? I'd get stuck into my Range Rover Original ( I DON'T call it a Classic because to my mind the Classic was the 90 > models just before the P38 )
, then do likewise with the Dyane , and when they're finished sell them on and take a long holiday / road trip somewhere

My lotto buys would probably be several ex-military Land Rovers, maybe an Austin Champ and something really big and impractical like a Foden FH70 Gun Limber.

Wouldn't mind an early 2 door Range Rover myself although parts are getting hard to find, they do go for silly money though.

Something simple that I could have on the road in a few months totally restored. I'd need help with some welding, upholstery and the respray but apart from that I'd be happy to do all the other stuff.

So I'm thinking a BMW Isetta, I had one before very easy mechanics and electrics, (and a total fanny magnet btw:D)

    or

2CV, I had a couple of crocks when I was in my early 20's and have wanted for some time to do a ground up job with a new chassis.

    or

Citroen H van, again very easy mechanics and electrics. it would be done up as a camper though.

    or

Buy a new Heritage shell for an MGB and build a new car on this.

There again ask me tomorrow and I'll give you a different list. Not a classic but I'd love to try an Ultima GTR as a kit car build some day though.

I did the above without the "winning the lotto" bit. 1967 Mustang Fastback "Eleanor"

I like to have a crack at a kit car (mmm... Cobra)! Something with a manual and all the bits. :)

Unfortunately I don't have the skills to be welding and reverse engineering some forlorn Italian classic.

Not being offered silly or sensible money for mine - have to DIM and THEN it might sell :(

Come on over, my Dyane has the chassis and a few other bitz, EASY JOB !

Nice V8 and auto box into it - more subtle than a Cobra

An old Range Rover won't sell here unless it's been fecked up with a diesel

Very good original ones have fetched up to £10k in the UK and Europe.

I'm not one for cars but I'd consider adding a Rover SD1 Vittesse to my list.

Mine may be 'original', but so is the rot I think too , let's see what happens

Had 2 early SD1's , a old gold 3500:) and 3500S in luminous green with Wolfies and spoilers http://www.ebay.com/itm/Met-green-ROVER-SD1-3500S-advert-laminated-poster-print/310397153520

Vitesse Twin Plenum would have been the icing on the cake :(

I'd like to put a v8 in an Opel Manta A, something like this.

Or a Turbomanta, if any of the 33 built still exist.

I'd convert an old Jag into a ford escort. "I just won the lotto so I can do what I want "!
