Hi there, i have an Android Tablet and YouTube is not working, either via the website or the app. When trying to troubleshoot it i went and uninstalled Flash Player, not realising that its not available anymore. Any ideas on how to resolve this one?

I had YouTube version 1.1 that came with the tablet (Android 2.2.1 now) and i've just got the latest one (4.1) and its working fine from the app but not working within the browser because it needs flash player. Anyway to resolve this?

Is the YouTube App working or not on your Tablet??

You say initially it is not, then you say it is

Is your Android version 2.2 or 4.1?? It's very unclear from your post!!!

    What Browser do you use?....

Flash is supported on the native Android browser, and most other browsers, but not on Chrome.....

[but Chrome is not supported on android lower than ICS...4.0]

Even though Flash is not officially supported by Adobe any longer, it is available from Adobe Archive here:

    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

    scroll down

to "Flash Player for Android 2.x and 3.x archives"....11.1.111.19 latest

or "Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives".......11.1.115.20 latest!!

it will be an apk file.

Download the latest version, 11, and make sure you have "Unknown Sources" checked in Settings/Applications on your tablet.

Here is a good guide to Flash installation on Android 4.1, which I think  you have.

If you need to access you tube without flash google search youtube + html5

It didn't work with the stock browser on my tablet but did with opera and chrome, and quite nicely too I might add. Much better than the flash based version................ sooner flash dies the better imo then I might actually be able to use rte player if they switched over to html 5 instead of my cheapo tablet crapping it self if I load that site :D
