Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

MacBook Pro parts

I'm in the market for a new:

    Power block & cable
    60 - 100 GB SSD
    8GB RAM
    Rechargeable battery

    all for a 17" MBP (from 2007ish).

I've costed this all at $300 from powerbookmedic.com, but I was wondering if there was
    a) anywhere Irish that do these (buy Irish and all that)
    b) anywhere cheaper.

Bear in mind I want new parts, and I'll be able to do the work myself. I saw another thread that mentioned RHDistribution but they don't do MPB parts or I couldn't see them on the website.

TBH, $300 doesn't seem bad at all, but if there was an Irish company that did this I'd be happier to give them my cash.

    Ideas / suggestions?

I've used ebay to pick up 60W power blocks before.

Use eBay for the battery & power block.

Get a Samsung 128GB SSD from Pixmania/Amazon & use Crucial.com/eu to get the 8GB of RAM.
