Galway Mayor suggests Bord Pleanála delays are deliberate

    These delays would affect every sort of Infrastructure project. Mind you they only seem to be around 1-2 months behind, it isn't crippling. Furthermore things are better than they were early this year when the Board was tiny.

    Cllr Welby suggested that the delay was partially due to the fact that there are vacancies on An Bord Pleanála’s board and that Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan has avoided making further appointments to the board to delay decisions on expensive capital projects.
