Old Hospital Power Station Blanchardstown

Does anyone have any information on the old hospital power station in Blanchardstown? I was over there recently and seen an old meter dated 1955 and a sign G.E.C. (General Electric Company). I'd like to find out any information on it thanks.

Hi kevc2, the best place to start would probably be Blanchardstown Library as I am fairly sure that they have local history items there. If not, they would at least be able to direct you to some local history books that might help.

The whole hospital campus is so old, it's like stepping back in time but if they renovated the old buildings it could be amazing. Not sure how fit for purpose they might be though. I'm interested to see if anyone else has any info on this!
