Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lucky for Newcastle that Suarez wasn't playing, or it could have been ate.

^^ For a split second I thought that was Sligo Drogheda. Then I thought to myself, "don't be so thick"

    This is doing the rounds.
If you kill yourself, it's called suicide. If you kill someone, it's called homicide. If you kill thousands , it's called genocide . If you kill the King, it's called regicide. If you kill your brother, it's called fratricide. And, if you have 2 Premier League teams, and neither have won the League for over 20 years, it's called Merseyside!

Ferguson has been fired...Simple as that

Fired because of his appalling record in Europe over 20+ years.

2 European Cups in his time is poor return for a club with the players and resources that Man Utd have had down through the years. Before they get overly gushing, Football fans should remember that Brian Clough won 2 European Cups in 2 Years and that Bob Paisley won 3 in 5 years.

Ferguson has also been somewhat of a lucky general domestically with majority of his League Titles won during the so called less competitive years while failing to win titles and stamp United authority on the league against the strong Chelsea and Arsenal.

The owners have obviously had enough failure in Europe and will look to a manager with the European pedigree to take them to the next level. Its a bold move and certainly a move that should be applauded

    Enjoy your "retirement" Lucky General

    :D;)

There will be a minutes applause observed at Old Trafford this weekend to mark the end of Sir Alex's career as United manager. The minutes applause will take place in the 97th minute.

Last Saturday, on the final day of The Championship season, Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies did his post match press conference BEFORE the vital game with Leicester.:confused:

Don't know the full story here, but I'd have told the interviewer to fúck off there. Billy Davies can do what he wants after a game, do you think Fergie would allow a member of the press speak to him like that?

To be fair to him, he told him he had better things to do. He was pretty straight with him. It was a strange one though. It was left to Assistant Manager David Kelly to give the post match interview. Davies has been at war with BBC Nottingham since he returned to the club so it's probably related to that.

Love the commentary for this goal by Terry Henry,a bit OTT but that's the yanks for you, what would it have been like if they saw Rooney's goal against City a few years back

Time will tell who's got the better deal, but for value for money I know who I'm backing. It's a bit like Houllier and Ferguson have both dined at the same top class restaurant and had their pick of the best main courses on the menu.

Houllier has managed to get his dish at a quarter of the cost Ferguson has paid, and yet it's his rival who is getting all the praise.

    :pac:

Anyone on Twitter should be following Soccer Guy. He clearly states in his account description that his sole purpose is to wind up people yet some soccer douches still manage to fall for his tweets.

He has also managed to coin one of my favourite phrases: the EPL Disaster Sector. I really hope that it catches on and replaces the plain, boring 'relegation zone'.
    Soccer Guy ‏@usasoccerguy
Did you guys see Red Bulls last night? Terry Henry with an awesome 'ride-a-bike' goalshot! That guy is like clean soccer version of Lance!
    Soccer Guy ‏@usasoccerguy
That's suicide soccer right there in the Wigan deefense. Nobody cold execute the danger box evacuation kick, Seaswans lead 3-2.#epl

He also wrote a review for the FA Cup final:
The Wembley Arena will have the eyes of all soccer fans looking right at it on Saturday as it plays host for the England Soccer Cup Final Soccer tie.

The tie will be contestified by two EPL franchises from the different ends of the EPL league board.

One down from first place, in second place, you have the Man City SkyBlues franchise club. Fresh from losing their EPL world champions title a few weeks back to cross town rivals Man Unity, they still do nice soccer.

Standing in their way will be the Wigan Athletic Warriors Franchise Club. For Coach Ricky Martinez’s guys, it will be an awesome day where they can forget about all their EPL worries. With two outta three franchises already relegationized, his franchise are trying to avoid getting taken by the EPL Disaster Sector.

With one of these franchises finishing the EPL season way higher on the board than the other, many soccer fans will think that Coach Mankini’s guys will lift the big shiny cup at the end of the tie – and who can blame them?

They got some nice soccerplayers! The Spanish Center Park player David Silver always sparkles when he kicks the soccer ball, and with that pesky little Mexican Agwearo trying to score some goalshots, the Warriors will have to have awesome deefense.

However, soccer is a real crazy sport. Just because the Skyblue’s opponents could get relegationized, it doesn’t mean they are gonna just say ‘hey, why don’t you City guys go and beat us?’

Following the major offense card he should have received for his hostility lunge against the New castle Union, Steve McManaman has played some real neat soccer for Coach Ricky Martinez’s men. Irelandish soccer player Shane Maloney has also caught the eye of soccerfans across planet Earth.

It’s worth thinking too that while the Skyblues have been sitting around being all sad about not reclaimifying the EPL world title, the Athletic Warriors have been in an EPL Disaster Sector dogfight.

Every time they have entered a soccer court they have had to play soccer under humongous pressure. Their focus has been rewarded with a few EPL points, giving them a chance to remain an EPL franchise.

If they channelize this determinization in the right way, they could just upset all the odds and soccer their way to England Soccer Cup victory.

Enjoy the tie. Come on you soccer!
