Hanging Ironing Board on Back of Hollow Door

    What is the best way to go about this.

    The toggle bolts used for plasterboard don't seem suitable as min is 3/8th and I only need prob 1/8".

    Just want 2 hooks to hang it on, cup hooks or just two screws will do.



    Have 2 screws and plastic plugs in it at the moment but the weight of ironing board is making the screws droop:D

    You can get clothes hangers that slip over the top of the door, perhaps one of these. They usually have 4 clothes hooks, maybe remove two.

    Lidl/aldi, do rollers for hanging up brushes etc, you could fit two of these and they would hold the bars of the ironing board.

    If you want to use hooks, glue/screw some 2x1 to the back of the door and just use the normal hooks...

    Was never gone on those over the top of door hangers, might be ok if a good gap there, but otherwise might cause tightness.

    Must check gap, might be a runner.

    Don't trust glue where weight is concerned to be honest.

    Reckon surface of door is only 1/8" hardboard, standard stuff, but must be some toggle or bolt that would give a secure fixing.
