I'm currently in the process of starting a drama society in my locality. can anyone recommend a three act commedy that would be suitable for a fledgling drama group. many thanks.

    Congrats on the start up!

Will need some more info. Cast size? Age profile? Gender split? Modern or classic? Farce/comedy/adult/family friendly?

based in rural north cork. probably talking of a cast of four males and four females but i can reduce this number or the male to female ratio if needs be. age profile of cast would be in the 30-50 range. if possible i would prefer to do a classic family friendly comedy for our first venture into theatre.

I've 3 suggestions for you although only one of them has a cast of 8

"Black Comedy" by Peter Shaffer. It's a high energy comedy staged during a blackout. Cast of 8

"Charley's Aunt" by Brandon Thomas. Cast of 10. Farce in upper class England. Cast of 10

"Wanted! One Body" by Charles Dyer. Cast of 9. Murder mystery farce

Thank you very much for those recommendations. i'll have a look at the scripts over the next few weeks and hopefully one will suit.
