I picked this up via the bundle (I had everything else in it) which gave an additional 10% off.

Reinstalled yesterday and was just setting up promods this morning. I forgot how enjoyable and relaxing this was! Have an ultrawide 1440p monitor which is great for this. Only playing with a controller, can't really justify forking out for a wheel set up as I don't get much time to play anymore. Might get 30 mins before the dog wanders in and head butts me repeatedly (translation: its time for a walk!)

I read from Steam that there is a Christmas event being organised by World of Trucks for all ETS2 & ATS players to do Christmas deliveries to earn special rewards.

There are 2 tiers of rewards. 1 for ETS2 & 1 for ATS.

There are 6 jobs to complete when in each teir. Here are the rewards listed if you complete both of them.

    Tier 1:

Exclusive World of Trucks achievements for event completion in each game
Hanging cabin decorations - Xmas Ball and Plush Bear (ETS2), Polar Star and Polar Plush Bear (ATS)
Main menu background theme - "Magic Time"
Five people who completed this Tier have a chance of winning the physical reward: choose any amount of merchandise of your choice from our e-shop for a sum up to 50€.

    Tier 2:

Hanging cabin decorations - Polar Beast and Snowman Trucker (ETS2), Grizzly Bear and Snowman Trucker (ATS)
Customizable paint-jobs "Crystal Dream" (ATS) and "Crystal Dimension" (ETS2)
Main menu background theme - "On top of the world"
Five people who completed this Tier have a chance of winning the physical reward: choose any amount of merchandise of your choice from e-shop for a sum up to 100€.

    http://blog.scssoft.com/2017/12/new-event-grand-gift-delivery-2017.html

Sounds terrific doesn't it? Well here's the thing. An internal World of Trucks server providing these jobs have stopped working tonight when I tried to deliver one of these trailers to Poland. This means you can't do any of these special jobs yet until this server is back up & running.

But don't worry; I managed to do a screenshot of one of these trailers hooked up to my new recent Scania in Rome earlier. I hope you like it! :D

I'm recently having a bit of trouble. I had this problem when I had malware on my laptop. Deleted malware through factory reset & did a clean install of Windows 10.

I tried to reinstall TruckersMP multiple times and I keep getting this error.

"IPersistFile::Save failed; code 0x80070002. The system cannot find file specified."

What can I do to get rid of this error?

ETS2 and most of its DLCs are on sale on Steam right now, up to 75% off. I grabbed the High Cargo bundle and the Map Booster pack, about €25 for a heap more stuff in the game. I've been enjoying it as a way to chill out in the evenings, stick on some music and get out on the road. Anyone else playing it these days?

I just bought it on steam last night. Only quickly fired it up to make sure it was working ok. Looking forward to going for a spin. Was youtubing some videos while it was downloading.

Some setup ! Maybe taking things a bit too far but impressive all the same.

Anyone on the fence about this, just pick it up. Fantastic game to unwind with and the modding community is amazing. Promods adds a whole lot of extra content including a bit of Ireland. Sam Dennigans paintjob is available on the Steam Workshop too:)

Ireland is coming along nicely.Im alarmed that Cork isn't on the map though.

That's a beautiful tilt trailer he's hauling in that vid :)

I've seen a couple of Mark's videos before, insane setup! He said in one of them that he suffers from very bad seizures, which happen without warning. Hence he could never drive a truck (or any vehicle I suppose) in real life; he also wears a seatbelt/harness while streaming - not for realism, but to keep him safe if he has a seizure.

Anyway, just upgraded my garage and added a fourth truck and driver, want to get the full five and earning a good bit of money soon! Been listening to a lot of classical music while playing recently; before that I was on a Led Zeppelin/Creedence Clearwater Revival/Tom Petty grind.

It's funny, even though it's not on the map as a place, they nailed the enniscorthy road layout! I had to laugh when I passed through it!

I'm not having a good time at all with this new 1.32 update for both ETS2 & ATS.

I have lots of mods installed for ETS2. But the game keeps crashing every so often when in the UI since I have played it last Monday. There has been an update given to me & installed for the steam workshop content since yesterday. But I have not tried it out yet. On the other hand; ATS is somewhat playable on my setup but the experience so far has not been good. I have no mods installed whatsoever for ATS. When I play it through steam; the graphics are painfully slow on my own laptop.

I also bought the new Krone trailer DLC from steam on Monday. But I can't play it yet due to the graphics problems in ETS2.

The guys at TruckersMP have also updated their rules today on their website before installing the incoming 1.32 update in future.

Is anyone having issues with the new update?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,478 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

If you're using TruckersMP; be aware that there are some other big changes for ETS2 included with this update.
    Changelog:

Support for American Truck Simulator v. 1.32.3s [849fce20714f]
Support for Euro Truck Simulator v. 1.32.3.4s [f1851bcb0a48]
Support for Krone DLC (replacement models are loaded in case of lack of DLC package)
    Reworked Scout car
Double trailers are now allowed in entire europe, except middle europe (Calais - Hannover - Liege - Hamburg)
Support for all the paint job DLCs released to this day

Here is a map showing the forbidden area for Double trailers in middle Europe. If you drive with these trailers in this red area; you will be autokicked from multiplayer.

Anyone else have issues with streaming the radio in game. Very annoying issue where the radio just keeps pausing/buffering all the time. Any and all stations do it. I haven't messed with mods or anything just the vanilla game.

Think I fixed the issue not sure though (seems to be bbc station pausing) its a lot better anyway. The default audio device was letting applications take control in its properties. I have an external audio interface also and it is set to a different sample rate than what is allowed in game I reckon. Just have to use a different soundcard!

On a side note here's all the English and international stations for streaming radio.

Played this for ages a few year ago using a game pad and just put it on in the past week then I got my wheel setup to see what it's like........ Bloody stuck I to it all over again now.

There has been some really good updates also since I last played it. Still a nice relaxing chilled out sim.

I used to play it with mouse (steering) and a controller (emulating keyboard), they added controller support or steam controller support or something and the change they made meant you can't emulate keyboard because it picks up controller by default. The game is unplayable for me. Previously before controller support it was great!
