Your in for a treat alright! :)

Best Bond movie in my opinion anyway (and everyone I've talked to).

How did I not hear about this. Did BBC advertise it much?

Guess I'll have to download it off PB.

One of my favourite Bond car scenes was the Renault 11 in A View to a Kill:

Ok I know it's not really a Bond car but they included a bus last night as a bond car.

Pretty poor I thought over all. the camo-car/van had been done in a TG episode before and I'm sure they did something with a sub (open to correction tho)

and **** them for the lengthy skyfall spoilers. jesus christ like. I felt bad for anyone watching that hadn't seen it.

Even James Bond couldnt resist the lure of an Alfa Romeo.....GTV.

As Top Gear say....."you aint a true petrol head until you have owned/driven an Alfa Romeo".

Guess I qualify as a pure petrol head then as I have a few Alfa's in my garage.

Technically in tomorrow never dies the 750 is a rental car too!!
Q is pretending to be an AVIS employee and they fill out the rental form!!!

I never really thought about that, makes sense!

Watched this tonight and pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Some interesting stories behind the earlier cars and good interviews. Was it me though or did the Dalton years onwards seem rushed to make room for the extended Skyfall ad/segment?

Looking forward to seeing the film myself but I thought the way it was done detracted a bit from the rest of the show.

Still love the lotus scene driving onto the beach and dropping the fish out the window.

As they said on Top Gear, it has to be an Aston or at least a Jaguar.
lol at the jags, back in the day maybe and maybe for the britishness and character, today jag over bm?! yeah right...

I'd take a Jag over a BMW any day of the week. The XF is a stunning car, as is the XJ.

    +1

And I love BMW's. Wouldn't take a Jag over an M3 or M5 though! :pac:

great show. alwaysfeel terrible watching an aston martin flipped to destruction, or getting hit by icebergs.

hammond has done some really good stand alone shows

    engineering connections
    invisible worlds etc

    loved the underwater lotus.

I figured out that one of the roads where they filmed the DB5 is fairly close to me, so I headed out there for a spin today. Excellent drive through the mountains :D

I'll post a few as soon as I get them off the camera and converted to JPEG. It was Col de Vence. Drove that pass and came down the Gorges du Loup. Some nice metal out there too - I posted a short vid on the YooToob and HWIST threads.
