May well be but I'd have been taking Sterling off myself with that booking .

I think Assaidi will be on for Sterling eventually using his pace to get at a tiring Coleman and Baines

Mirallas off is a huge blow. Gueye has had a couple of good pre-seasons but doesn't give me confidence.

3 I would imagine with Coates in the middle. Coates/agger and Coates should keep us safe from set pieces

    sterling should have scored

Shelvey a good sub, never thought he'd be any use. Playing pretty good this season though.

    Any use???
He could be a permanent fixture in our starting 11 for the next 15 years

Worried this formation might invite Everton onto us. Hopefully not.

Poor, poor finish from Sterling. Strange he didn't pass as he normally his decision making is so good.

I dont know of any decent Liverpool fans who would say that.

And I don't know of any 'decent' Liverpool fans who spends more time crusading against other Liverpool fans on here. Your little row with the Utd fans is embarrassing mate, you've been found out, give up the ghost. And if you don't think Suarez 'continually' dives then I'm not bothered discussing this with you.

Rodgers should talk to Suarez...That's the second time in 2 weeks that his went off on Sterling(Admittedly a poor effort from Sterling, but his still quiet young)

He should shut up, Sterling was through one-on-one. He was right to have a shot even if it was a shít one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,650 ✭✭✭kingshankly

There is no doubt Suarez would have shot there himself and then tears into sterling he is a disgusting individual

As a Liverpool fan I don't think Suarez should be doing that celebration. Sure it's funny and in a way it's great for the Premier League (controversy etc...) but it doesn't do Suarez's reputation any good.

Just think Suarez should be trying to improve his image

    Exactly.

How exactly, twas over the line and off the field of play for minimal contact.

Bar his experience, what does Gerrard bring to this Liverpool team?

Dunno about off the field ill have to see it again but he got no contact on the ball at all . It would have been a foul anywhere else on the pitch .

It's a bold move alright, could be in trouble if he's caught sneaking 12 men on the pitch

You'd have to be disappointed with Suarez reaction to Sterling there. Fair enough get your head up, but its only through being in those positions will he get the experience to know what to do each and every time. He's only 18 yet ffs. Great run to make the chance too.

Very bold considering by your reckoning we have 12 men on the pitch :p

Not much, his a bit of a headless chicken for 80 minutes of a game...but has the ability to pop up with a goal, but goes missing for too much of the game

Sterling should lay into Suarez there.

Foul but Sterling was never getting to it.

Jagielka gets off the hook there. Maybe going too far, perhaps keeper gets there first. Nice of the ref not to be watching though :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Stupid from Jagielka, think there was too much on the ball anyways.

    An assist today so far

Yellow card is fair, don't know why the commentators even considered that could be a red. Sterling wasn't definitely going to get the ball IMO.
