Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hang on, earlier on you claimed you didnt know unsportsmanlike conduct was a rule, now you're telling us you know the linesmens signals?

It was a foul on Jagielka. How do you know the ref didn't make the foul call, making the offside call irrelevant?

It makes absolutely no difference. If Coates hadnt fouled Jagielka it would have been chalked off because of the linesman flagging for offside.

Apologies. You just seemed very partisan. So i assumed United. My bad

But it should be partisan. The guy is an unmitigated disaster. You don't have to be a united fan to not like Suarez. The bloke conducts himself appallingly. In a year where you've been embroiled (rightly or wrongly) in a racism scandal you should be keeping your powder dry. Not running 50 yards to provoke and goad an opposition manager of your derby team in their jaysis stadium. Does the bloke want go start a riot?

And I'll say it again - it's all the more annoying because he is a brilliant footballer

It clearly shouldn't have been a goal. Coates clearly fouled the defender

Jagielka never complained after Coates won the ball.
He knew he was beaten fairly.

Sure thems are the breaks lads.

Even with that bad luck, believe, this is our year.

Whatever about Coates, that goal was ruled out for offside, according to Collymore on twitter.

J.Marston and his selective quoting again.

How about the dozen or so posts since the ones you quoted admitting there was a foul?

Phil Neville admitting he dived. Fair play to him for admitting it

I presume it was a free out for being all over his back? Spot on if so. However, if it's for offside......

A serious delay in making the incorrect decision though.

I'd have to say that the right decision was made for the wrong reasons.

Having said that, I am starting to wonder if the Coates climb was a foul after seeing it again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

Held up the flay well after the goal was scored, it if was a foul then why did the linesman take so long...a bunch of crap.

Should have been 3 points for us.

It is clear the linesman fooked up, he takes an age to put the flag up, Neville is right he bottled it.

Could be classed as a foul on Jagielka, but it clearly wasn't called for that by the linesman, plus Jagielka didn't feel he was fouled as you can see from his reaction.

    Liverpool were robbed.

Someone said it already, we see climbs like Coates one every single week and they are never penalized. Liverpool got ****ed over again. What's new.

I don't know what channel you're watching it on but I have seen the very late flag wave at least three times now.

We've been dealing with these types of decisions for years in the Derby so I'm not a bit bothered. Happy not to have been beaten.

Referee and his assistant made a balls of it. I'm a United fan and I'd be very aggrieved if it happened in 2 hours time against us. It was surely ruled for offside and he wasn't.

A draw was probably a fair result today, Liverpool dominated the opening 20 mins but after that they were relatively poor. They did create quite a few chances though Sterling and Gerrard namely.

Everton played very well for the most parts bar the opening 20 and probably should have made their pressure pay much better.

But that's football and through my eyes a draw was a fair result.

Thanks for the curtain raiser Merseyside but the real football begins in 20 minutes.

The linesman definitely flagged for offside IMO. The flag was even late for the incorrect offside call so no way it was for a foul by Coates.

Have to change opinion, Coates didn't look like he fouled Jagielka after all.

Being cleared up. TOTAL FARCE ,
Linesman did not flag for coates, or for offside,
He flagged after Suarez kicked it after he scored after he celebrated and
AFTER EVERTON PLAYERS SCREAMED AT HIM TO DO SO !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,424 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Yes very harsh on Liverpool having looked at it again.

Saying that they can just use this for next 10 years if they do get decision;)

Have to laugh at posters here who switched from goal being offside to Coates 'clearly' fouling Jagelika.

It was all round poor decisions from the officials and Liverpool were denied victory by it. Simple as that.
