Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First red card was a definite sending off, no questions asked.
For the second, from Mark Clattenburg's view it looked like a clear dive, and it wasn't far off with Evan's barely touching Torres' leg.
And Clattenburg didn't make the linesman's decision for Hernandez's goal.

All in all, Clattenburg isn't in United's favour, sorry guys.

FFS ref sent another player off we're struggling here against 9 .

The first call was right, the second wrong and the third was the linesmans job. Shocking officiating not just the ref though, Ivanovic takes a lot of blame too, Chelsea were in full swing when he took his red

But Ivan's card was very harsh, he didn't make any tackle it looked like Young slowed down his run and his heel clipped Ivan's toe. Ivan didn't lunge in or make any movement towards Young. Tangle of legs.

Classy here from Chelsea. RVP down and they play on

Please dont be a bad one

  • Registered Users Posts: 263 ✭✭ShaneScouse

Oh RVP falls over from a gust of wind, best send off two chelsea players.

    Ivanovic decision was correct.

The Torres one was really really really bad.

The offside wasn't the refs fault.

Proves again that the ref needs help of technology.

Even though that has become an integral part of the utd game. You can't seperate the two issues

Discuss the incidents if you want. That's fine.

Going on about United bribing referees has nothing to do with the game that's taking place.

Referee making shít decisions != ZOMFG bribery Fergie cheeterz lol!!!1!! xxx

Cant agree with this. Thats a red all day long.

The Torres one was obviously a joke and not giving offside is shocking too

But the thing is it doesn't have to be a 2 footed lunge, a simple tangling of legs is enough to deny a player a goalscoring opportunity.

Only way I'll not blame the ref for this result is if he gives a Chelsea penalty in the 95th minute for nothing. :pac:

Another Chelsea player needs to be sent off to make it look less conspicuous.

What a scumbag you are Valencia, disgrace to the game !

he should have been booked in the first half or that.

Don't get me wrong I can see why it was given but IMO it wasn't clear cut.

It's still a red though, he was chasing from behind and hit his legs when clean through!

Fair enough but i disagree. I really think that one is quite clear. He was the one who made the movement and young was taken down. That has to be punished imo as Young was racing through on goal

Gotta say though that with 9 men you have put up a really good fight

United obviously got the rub of the green off the ref, especially regarding the Torres sending off. The offside was so tight that you could forgive the linesman. These guys need technology for those split second decisions

Big lol at the supposed grown men on this forum shouting conspiracy theories though. Pathetic

9 Men and United still cant open them up to score a few. Some awful attempts at play by United in the Chelsea half.
