Fair duce to everyone for chipping in with worthy advice.

I'm sure the OP was slightly worried we might not take this thread seriously.

Btw, the only thing you absolutely must have are radio-frequency ID buttons that attach to your socks, so that you never have to suffer the humiliation of leaving your new house with odd socks.

    Erm .... oops.

Oh I didn't buy one, my parents did. I can't figure out why, but all I do know is that they don't have it any more. Probably went in one of several skips worth of shyte they decided they didn't need to have.

Pointless showy shyte, but she goes against the grain every time I say this to her in a shop.

I would install some decking. You can never have enough decking, particularly with some green snoss so it adds a bit or danger and intrigue when you go to walk across it.

You need a tray of beer so the first week seems damn sweet as you reach for one whenever you please. You'll fall back into the same rut very quickly so enjoy it while you can.

K-Tel 'Bottle Cutters', I still have mine from the 70's.
Handy for cutting your own hair, though I would recommend that you have, 'at the ready', some clean bandages and a strong unguent.
May I also remind you that calling an ambulance these days can be a costly exercise, anything up to €500 according to some semi-deranged 'biddy' on RTE's 'Liveline'.
On reflection, perhaps a standard 'comb 'n' cut' device (available in Hector Grey's) would be more suited to a first-time DIY 'crimper'.
However, if you're 'bald as a coot' you could still use 'the cutters' for some minor carpentry work, grass-cutting can be painstaking but with forebearance and a couple of swear words you will eventually complete the job.
By the way, I believe I'm a 'new neighbour' of yours, I look forward to dropping by unannounced for a chat and a refreshing couple of bottles(LARGE) of Double Diamond, I don't drink anything else so don't try and persuade me to drink any of that modern muck such as wine, cherry-brandy or Red Bull.
Don't take 'a couple' literally, I like to get stuck in.
Do you have a pool table in your house?
Don't tell me, keep it as a surprise.
    Your new neighbour!
Look forward to seeing you. God bless (as Joe Duffy often says).

Power city doing an 80 inch tv which is bigger than most houses built in the last 10 years. You could put your house under it or if you have seen 2012 my advice would be to put it under your house as a DIY ark.

Have lots of expensive things in my house (like leather bound books) and yet a €35 copy of one of these paintings is always what gets most attention:
