Pc For a Kid 450

I have a smaller brother who wants a Pc for Christmas so he can play Minecraft and a few other games. Some of the other games might be newer but Ultra settings would not be a big concern. I was thinking to go for a AMD system to keep costs low.Mainly thinking of the a10-5800k but don't know too much about these.

You'd be going €50 above budget. You can save a few bits here and there, but each step would cripple the system by a fair amount.

Maybe you could get away without a DVD drive?
You could half the RAM. 8GB isn't really necessary, although it would benefit a system like than as I'm assuming the graphics goes straight to RAM.

That should be a fairly good monitor, but there's slightly cheaper ones which obviously wouldn't be as good but are cheaper.

Hey Thanks monotype it seems to be just what would be suitable. I think any changes to cheaper parts wouldn't really be enough.

I would like to suggest you spend an extra €5 on faster RAM since the APU's builded in graphics heavily rely on RAM bandwidth:

Good point. In fairness though, I'd reckon that you could overclock the RAM up to that if you loosened the timing to CL10.
