Great gig, unfortunately Charlie stole the show. He sat in a box above the left of the stage and all the starstruck people could do was just stare at poor Charlie and forgot who was on stage. Great perfomance by the band and anyone going tomorrow night get in and see the support band they were excellent.

That was officially the weirdest gig I've ever covered, I took an insane amount of shots but when I left the pit was put sitting beside a lunatic who turned out to be charlie sheen, wtf? I got one of Slash's plecs too which is a nice memento, tempted to go again tomorrow. Then after when he asked me if I liked any of his movies all that came to mind was terminal velocity, odd night. I can't find the setlist, but welcome to the jungle was one of the encores and maybe one of the highlights of the night.

Well , anyone meet the man himself ? I heard a few were outside his hotel today and met him around 3. Thinking of doing the same myself as weird as it may seem.

This is my first time to miss him. I really wish ticketmaster would lower how many tickets people get. It would people a chance to get a ticket.

Yep last night at the morrison and tonight after the gig, didn't see charlie though until tonight. I think they were heading to lillies but I bailed to start working on the pictures. I got a text from one of the crew who said lillies too but that might just be charlie, if anyone texts to confirm I'll shoot you a pm.

it's blurry but on the setlist was - no more heroes - halo - welcome to the jungle - paradise city - you're a lie - out to get you - by the (something?) - the rest is extremely blurry as the pits low down and stage fairly high.

Sorry Lisa I know ive been annoying you a lot with questions but where did you meet him after the gig ? Just wondering if you know if he came out after the gig and met any fans waiting around and if so was it at the back or front door ?

She's a photographer and was working the gig, probably met him backstage somewhere

Nah ask away it's fine, I don't think he came out after the show because I went back to get some quick promo shots of the treatment and they looked like they were staying put for a while. I do know charlie legged it though, he was dieing to get back into a club.

Saw the gig in Slovenia was amazing, tried to meet Slash before the show..chanced me arm standing by the entrance when a guy with a clip board came out and was calling out names for a meet and greet with competition winners. When I heard a male's name chanced me arm and said yes when no one else answered..but the big paddy head on me and lack of Slovenian gave the game away :(( So I'm dying to meet the legend himself, might mill around Morrison's tomorrow..

Insane gig was unreal to see Charlie Sheen introducing the band and he was dancing like crazy to Rocket Queen. I tweeted how unreal it was that Charlie introduced the band on stage and Myles favourited my tweet. Also after gig I met Slash and he signed my ticket. What a night.

Heard he was about kickin' Dublin alright, that's a bit chuckle worthy :P

Really looking forward to tonight now :D

I got my tickets for tonight back when they were first released and have managed to put the gig to the back of my mind. But reading this thread this morning has really got me in the mood.

Delighted that Slash game over to Ireland a day early to do some site seeing. I loved his comment about 'knobs and knockers'. Big RnR stars can still be like 11 year old boys sometimes!

    Cant wait for tonight!!!

what the big deal about Charlie Sheen are you making  is he an alien from Mars or Venus

it was great to dance like crazy to welcome to the jungle tunes :D

    have a t-shirt as well :P

Fantastic gig, Slash and the lads were really on form.
Highlights for me were Rocket Queen, Ghost, Slither, We're All Gonna Die, Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City. And great to hear Out Ta Get Me get an airing too!
Had to make do with a seat in the clouds/circle but it was a privilege to be there at all. The Charlie Sheen thing was mad!
Hung around for an hour after and got his autograph so that really capped it all off. The man is just so humble and generous to his fans, fair play to him.
To anyone lucky enough to be going tonight all I can say is...enjoy!

By the way, for anyone not going tonight, Slash will be on Metal Notes on Phantom from 10pm...

Going tonight. Really looking forward to it now. Been a fan of Slash for years (the reason I play guitar). As for Myles Kennedy, he is one of the finest singers I've been lucky enough to see live.

What were times like for getting on stage, etc? Need to plan transport!
