Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Isn't there an arts and crafts forum somewhere ?? :D

These are technically brilliant but oh so pointless. There doesn't seem to be an rationale behind them either other than just trying to duplicate photographs so they're artistically bankrupt as well. They remind me of those guys you used to see in droves up and down grafton street using spraypaint and plates to make those landscape/space-scape paintings.

Aye, there is no skill or artistic ability involved at all. It takes a lot more to press a button on a camera.

Is photography by its very definition, not just duplication?

Better not mention Gerhard Richter, he paints from photos and makes his paintings look like photos.

I don't know really, they're a bit underexposed and lack any real warmth in the colours :pac:

Bit of a cop out getting the model to face away from the camera so you can avoid having to paint the face.
