Just looked at the scores from last night. Atlanta scored 58points. 58points!!!! In an NBA game?!!! That's the lowest score I can remember in years. That is shocking. Checked 2 sources in case it was a typo...it wasn't.

    Anyone remember anything approaching that?

Anyone seen this? People and media are calling foul, looks strange in the way it sticks....judge for yourself:

This Bulls inconsistency without Rose is hilarious. We lose at home to the Suns and then beat the Hawks by 39 the next night :pac:

Funnily enough (well, not really for us fans) the lowest points total ever by a team in the shot clock era is 49 by us against Miami in 1999, one year on from Jordan leaving and the NBA Championship. 1999-2004 really was a crap period :(

Jamaal Crawford mercilessly attacked Jeremy Lin last night.

Lin really needs to work on his defence.

Bulls up by 19 at one stage v Raptors, Bulls as always let the opposition get close when it should be a blow out and Lowry travels but isn't called to make the game 100-99. Play goes on for a bit and it ends with Bulls having 11 seconds on the clock at 100-100, so the final shot. They go to Belinelli in iso, despite Boozer having over 30 points and dominating for 3 quarters.

    Overtime now.

EDIT - Bulls win in OT. Deng with the right wing jumper. 107-105. Phew!

That would've been a gut-wrenching loss, I thought they got screwed by the refs down the stretch, particularly on Lowry's flop which fouled Hinrich out.

I liked Deng's non-reaction on the game-winning shot - no celebration, just jogs back up the floor.

Big night for LeBron - 20,000th point and 5,000th assist in the same game. Youngest ever to reach 20,000 - though not in the fewest number of games.

Not a big LBJ fan but impressive nonetheless.

Massive achievements. He took a massive fall in the first quarter that would have knocked a lot of people out of the game but got up and hit a three on the next possession !

Eh you know he mentioned the assist milestone in the post?!

Heat vs Lakers tonight at 3:30am should be a good one. The London game between Knicks and Pistons is on at 8pm too.

Want to watch the Lakers game, see how they manage, but just think it'll be too late to stay up, have to suffice with the Knicks game....tough life!

Heat have 8 points so far (game has just started), all 8 have come from dunks off Laker turnovers. Fun start to the game anyway!

This looks like it good be a gem of a game. Nash in good form early looking to shoot the ball. He doesn't miss a lot !

So many turnovers for the Lakers. 7 already for 12 points, yet they're only 2 down. They really have to cut them out.

Ridiculous that the Lakers are ahead at the half!

    Great article in SI.

    http://nba.si.com/2013/01/16/james-harden-traveling/?sct=uk_bf1_a4

Harden's not even in the Top 3 travelers in the league - those honours go to LeBron, D-Wade and Kobe.

It's actually laughable sometimes some of the things you see in the NBA re. traveling. And some very funny examples can be seen on YouTube - Dan Majerle's 9 (yes, NINE!) step pivot change being a particular fave.

There's a great montage of LeBron's, Wade's and Kobe's travels on YouTube somewhere...worth looking for. I'll try and post it later if I can find it.

I remember one of the Beijing Olypics games where Dwight Howard had 20pts for the US......on 10 dunks. He took no other shots during the entire game.

20 fecking turnovers and terrible shooting from Kobe.

They had the chance to win and blew it.

Alvin Gentry fired in Phoenix. Team is in last place in the West right now.

If it wasn't for him getting hot in the 4th they wouldn't have even had a chance!

Marco Bellanelli just hit a filthy good game winner in OT for the Bulls. Falling over on to his back. He looked fantastic and Thib has serious confidence in him.

Really enjoyed that Bulls/Celtics game...real gritty! Crazy end to it!

No words to describe what happened there

    Thibs

Yeah very entertaining game (of course I'd have a different view if that crazy Belinelli shot at the end didn't go in).

Wizards are rolling, won 4 out of their last 5 now. Beat Denver... in Denver.
