There could possibly be 3 team name changes for next season

    One is already confirmed.

The New Orleans Hornets will become The New Orleans Pelicans

Now that the Hornets name is vacant. Charlotte might be interested in taking back their old name, But they will only do it if they feel a re-branding will make enough money for the organisation

The Kings are moving from Sacramento to Seattle. The new owners want to bring back the Seattle SuperSonics name that was lost when the old Sonic became the OKC Thunder

That's not a done deal. Still a long way to go, Sacramento is fighting hard to keep the team and they deserve to keep it. Will be an abomination if they lose it. Having to put up with the worst ownership in the history of professional sports, who are trying to kick the fans on the way out by selling to a group who wants to move the team when they easily could have sold locally. F**k them. And this trade is another example of their cringeworthy penny-pinching. I hope they lose every bit of their dwindling fortune and end up bankrupt. It
wouldn't be enough for the idiots.

Kevin Johnson will have an equal offer on the table from a group wanting to keep the team in Sacramento. They also have an arena deal on the table, something Seattle doesn't have. There is no way the league can justify letting this happen.

Here is a fantastic documentary on the history of the Sonics and the controversial move to OKC. I highly recommend it.

The Seattle ownership were consulted about the Robinson trade so this is pretty much a done deal to be honest. Seattle deserves a team more then Sacremento.

This guy Marcus Smart, His Draft stock is rising, The freshmen is arguably the best point guard in the NCAA right now. He will go top 5 maybe even to 3.
He is a Pass 1st point guard, A floor general.
Needs to improve on his outside jumpers but all the tools there for him to become a top PG in the NBA

We know how to use the internet, don't need constant updates about things that mean nothing like crappy big men being dumped to another team. Less of the constant updates please

And draft prospects....start a separate thread!

Everybody keep a close eye on the Pacers. We are the best team to challenge The Heat in the East.
Another bonus. Danny Granger is coming back very soon.

Tony Parker drops 31 on the Clippers. Limits Chris Paul to just 4 points

    Is Skip Bayless right?

Is josh smith the only high level FA this year. If so I'm surprised Atl didn't move him on, they wil get nothin for him in the Summer but lots of cap room

    Eh Howard!

No point trading him and taking on someone else when you can get rid of him in a few months and have the extra cap space, very sensible to do when they weren't getting any trade options they liked!

Howard left Orlando as it wasn't a big enough market. You really think he will rock on down to atl where smith is leaving for more exposure and max money. More chance of Kobe getting a Dwight tattoo

Very well executed gameplan from Pop and the Spurs. They didn't just play well last night. They played like a team who understood the Clippers tendencies on defence, and how to exploit them.

He may be.......it depends on how you define MVP. Is it for the best player in the league? Or the player who helps his team the most?

Parker is playing outstanding ball this last few years and because it's for the Spurs he's gone relatively unnoticed. If he played in a major media market like LA, NY, Chicago, Boston or Miami, he'd feature way, way higher in people's estimation than he does. If he lived in NY for sure he'd be MVP - look at their Melo canvassing, daft for such a relatively one-dimensional player.

Parker guy is 6'2" at a stretch and led the league at one stage for points in the paint - last time I read this particular stat I think he was 7th. That's insane. And he has consistently done this for the last 7/8 years. But it's the way he runs the team that's so, so impressive. Granted they have prob the best coach in the league in Pop, and Ginobli and Duncan despite their age can still do it, but Parker has really come into his own as a leader last and this year.

To clarify - I'm not saying he's a better player than LeBron before I get my head bitten off for the above; but he's among the elite 10 players in the NBA.

Bull****. And you're not up to date on the situation. Informing Hansen and the ownership group of the trade means nothing. We already knew the Maloofs accepted their bid. It's nothing got to do with Hansen or the Maloofs anymore. It all boils down to the offer Johnson puts on the table and what the BOG decide. It's not in the hands of the Maloofs or Seattle anymore.

But I'll indulge you: explain how Seattle deserves a team more than Sacramento? They absolutely do not, and they're huge hypocrites to attempt to do to another city what was done to them.

What are you on?! You asked was Smith the only high level FA this year, Howard is a much bigger FA! Never said anything about him going to ATL, somewhere he has said he doesn't want to play since its his home town!!

I think it's actually more important that Sacramento have the kings because It's the only major team in the city and surrounding areas.
Seattle has NFL Seahawks and MLB Mariners

Moving the Kings away effectively turns Sacramento into a minor league city.

Take a look a the documentary video I posted a few posts back on the Sonics move to OKC. It's very informative

I was speaking in relation to ATL letting the deadline pass w/out trading Smith, the only reason having cap room to pursue a FA in the off season. Thats what im on

Raptors have been so much fun to watch the past couple of months tbh. Great win over the Knicks there. 7-3 since Rudy Gay joined them and playing great ball at both ends.

This is a dream. Pacers are flying

    Last 3 Games

Beat The Bobcats by 24 points
Beat the Knicks by 34 points
Beat The Pistons by 32 points

Pistons again tonight. Another win in the bag
