I have a standard post box attached to the one of the cement/block pillars on the drive gate, but its seen better days and i would like to replace it with an inset post box (built into the pillar - sort of flush mounted).

Id have no problem cutting out a section of the pillar to achieve this... but im just looking for a place to get these post boxes. Any ideas?

Make sure the pillar is strong and big/deep enough to take a recessed box,as cutting into the pillar may weaken it and also cause it to collapse,if it cant hold its own weight and also the weight of the gates.

My God the prices on that letterboxes.ie site

    - 100% Irish - Lowest prices guaranteed...... Well as long as he is manufacturing them here and providing Irish jobs through the manufacture of his gold-plated, diamond studded postboxes...... Or maybe he just means his bank account is in Ireland......
