Not sure but twas a strange move to go across to Eurospar. The shop is very poorly stocked, I was very disappointed to see what had become of the sports shop.

It's a much much smaller store now. Mainly just stocking GAA jerseys and kit and sports kit for schools.
I'd say they could not compete with Champion, Elverys and Lifestyles Sports with big stores in the city, all vying for business.

Dunno what will go int old shop. It's a ood pitch fr anyone. Great to see vacant units around town being filled. Seems to have picked up lately as well.

ya it seemed strange ok, maybe they knew lifestyle were going to move into the store beside them, ya it's great to see any empty shop's around town start to fill up, there aint that many now on high street that ain't reserved or waiting on planning to come thru

Heard it had to do with paying rent or not paying it.

Ah here. Do you have anything to corroborate that?

I find shops handy at eurospar because you can park outside and run in and pick stuff up.

ahh loose talk indeed, very reputable local business finds the going tough and decides to downsize, smart move in my opinion

Old Knick knack shop has a Euro Valu shop going in there. Never heard of them to be honest.
New shop beside town hall looks decent.

What's the new one beside the Town Hall? Is that where Lifestyle was or where Byrne's was?

There's a new clothes shop now where lifestyle was that's probably it.
