Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's almost the perfect setlist. All it needs is I Know It's Over and How Soon Is Now (although I think that was very difficult to perform live and so they rarely did it?)

Yes, How Soon Is Now? didn't get too many live outings. It did appear in the Kilburn National Ballroom set from 1986 (the one that Rank's 14 tracks were taken from). It was omitted from the Rank album but RTE Radio 2 played the full gig one Sunday night that year or early 1987 [all 21 tracks]. I had it on a C120 which broke a couple of years ago.

    Yes.

The coke and hookers allocation has been cut due to the recession so the Mod union struck a deal for a BS thread starting allowance in the forums we mod.

You do realise that it is actually impossible for me to ban that particular user? Indeed, I think you'll find that it's impossible for me to ban most of the users that I "banned" in this thread.;)

Don;t know how I confused them! I guess its like when you meet someone for the first time and think their name is Peter but turns out its Michael but everytime you see them you wanna call them Peter even though you know their name is Michael..

Look out for distinguishing characteristics such as blood red lipstick, anaemic complexion, jet-black back-combed hair with a can of hairspray and black attire. Then you'll know your Michaels from your Peters. :)

The Smiths were not as good as The Cure.

I like The Cure and all, but they are a good bit below The Smiths in my estimation. I just hear Joy Division in almost everything they did.

Dangerous only insofar as you could never be entirely sure what gender they were until you got their clothes off back at your gaff.

I also think this is up there:

'If a double decker bus crashes into us
To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die'

I think that's possibly the most romantic lyric in any song ever.

I fainted recently due to a combination of having taken medication incorrectly and being completely overdressed in a too warm environment. After i came around, my husband said i looked at him and said
    "dont leave your torch behind,
    a powercut ahead, 1972"
He was totally spooked, but its a line from 'Last Night, maudlin street"
I said he can put it on my headstone.
