Hi

I've been using Avast antivirus that some guy installed for me but now i have to renew it for 20euro. So is there a free anitvirus or should i renew Avast antivirus?

Any recommandations highly appreciated

Remove avast and install Microsoft Security Essentials. 100% free and does the job. Also be sure to keep browser plugins and windows up to date

Thanks for all the advice . I sorted it out,i just had to reregist .The 20euro is for upgrading so i just picked the free basic one.

I get trend, webroot, and Kaspersky free from work. To hell with free versions its all free to me

Three out of four answers suggest a different software, rather than addressing the question at hand... LOVE these anti-virus and web browser threads.

Of course you can still use Avast! for free if you renew the old free license or reinstall the free version.
