Asking supplier to reissue invoice

    Hi,
    I'm trying to reclaim UK VAT on trade shows I did there this year. Only problem - the invoices were issued in 2011 and the cut off point for reclaiming 2011 invoices was Sep 30.
    Is it possible to ask them to reissue the invoices with a 2012 date considering the payment was made this year? Or would they reject that out of hand? Anyone try this?

    That's illegal, for you and them, I believe so I don't think they'll help you.
