Brave Chelsea lads ganging up on Nani . . Didnt think Oscar needed any help in looking after himself . . You stay classy , .

Get over yourself the lad is a kid , nani got the ball taken off him and threw the toys out

I'm a United fan. Have to say Chelsea deserve this. The second half was spent in United's box.

Considering the money that Abramovich has spent on Chelsea it is absolutely farcical/comical that they have ended up with Torres and Sturridge as front men.

Atleast he doesn't play rugby cause that was a brutal ankle tap and there is no way that much contact should have brought him down.

Has to be a bloody red ,

Wouldn't have surprised me if it was. Wootton played Sturridge onside so Keane knew exactly what he had to do.

Jaysus, lucky that didn't go in off AL!

Was thinking that too. Must be a huge amount.

Do United ever get a player sent off? Young Keane deserved to go for that foul.

I like a ref that let's stuff go, but utd should have 9 men and Chelsea should have had 2 penos.

As an Arsenal fan i have to say i am enjoying this nearly as much as last night.
This Cup always throws up very good and interesting games and as a competition i like it a lot. Good clean competitive game too from good sides.

Decent match and decent thread. The lack of people trolling has been refreshing.

Great effort by Luiz. Missed the game until just before Hazard's penalty.

Shame Utd have no big guns on the bench.

Great game so far. Credit to both sides. Cant see United scoring though.

The young lads on this team are a credit to ferguson ! dont look out of place , there has been or two mistake but then again look at Luiz !

Fergie must be thinking about penalty divers, I think.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭Pj!

I don't think Fergie would be too disappointed with a loss.

Gives Chelsea extra games to deal with and I don't think they have the strength in depth to rest the first team proper. Needed a lot of the big guns to overcome United here.

Of course it's would be nice for United's youngsters to get another game in the next round but they've done well.

    Utd look toothless.

Agreed, its been a great night (result aside) for the club. Plenty of fresh faces and alot of our backup getting a much needed run out.

If we look at the squads of both teams, United rested far more players then Chelsea and Ive been impressed with how our lads have performed. . Feel for Wooten, we will learn alot about him now if he can get over this game. .

One of many he has done tonight ,

That should of been it and sturridge actually passed too

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,852 ✭✭✭homer simpson

Sturridge has to be up there with one of the most greedy players to play the game. Sometimes its a good thing if you bang them in be he isn't capable of banging them in (I only seen the game from 75mins but have just been told he has missed lots of chances tonight).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,814 ✭✭✭✭JPA

I just saw sturridge pass to a teammate!
