Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How to charge portable DVD players on a plane

    Hi

We have bought twin DVD players to use for our child on a long flight we are taking. They are rechargable batteries and it says to plug into a car plug or standard socket in the home. Neither will be available on the plane.

Have you heard of any devices out there which will recharge the dvd's while on the go?

    Thanks

something like this might worth only if one of the attachments will fit the dvd power input or if your device can charge from USB cable.

but probably not worth taking the risk. these things will only output 5 volts which is probably less than your device is expecting. but if the part that goes into the cigarette lighter charger is a detachable usb cable then you are in luck. however, you'd probably need one power brick for each as the output won't be enough for the device to power the device whilst charging - so you'd need it to be plugged.

other option is to try to buy some spare rechargable batteries for those dvd players (if they are removable) that you have and charge them up before going.
