Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fridge dead?

    Hi,
I have a beko fridge that was working fine up to last week.
We moved it from the utility room to the kitchen and all was working fine.
Could hear the fridge cooling and the gas etc.
Next day we noticed a pool of water on the floor, fridge was defrosting (it seemed to freeze which was a problem with the this particular model)
The light is on so power is getting to it but its not cooling and there is no noise when you plug it on.
Is regassing an option assuming this is the problem?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sham.

Not worth regassing a domestic fridge.

Totally defrost for 6 hours and leave the doors open.

Will probably kick back in when you plug it in.

A full defrost will fix a lot of fridges.

its off for a few days now (went on Friday last...)
I plugged it in yesterday and nothing.
Only gave away a spare fridge we had 3 days before, typical...
    Thanks for the reply.

When you moved it did you keep it upright? Once a fridge has been tilted at all you should leave it upright for at least 24 hours to let the oil settle. Plugging it straight in could cause a blockage.

    yeah it was kept upright.
Its off for about 2 weeks now.
I might try it again tonight, nothing to lose.
    Thanks all for the replies.
