Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scrappy game and football isn't great, but still entertaining because both sides are going for it.

    Great reactions from Cherrie there.

how is michael rafter getting on for dundalk this season?

    That pitch looks woeful.

It's actually a really good pitch to play on. The old one caused a peculiar bounce, but the current surface allows the ball to be passed around a lot better than on grass. I think so anyway.

When was it changed? Wasn't down at Oriel this season, remember it being pretty bad last season.

Didn't notice anything wrong with it watching last night in fairness though.

I don't think it has been changed in a while. I was referring to the original artificial pitch though, which was terrible.

These are the criteria the players take into account when deciding what mark to give the pitch.
    • Run of the ball
    • Stability
    • General presentation
    • Grass coverage
    • Watered or not

Anywhere in Glasnevin or Phibsborough likely to be showing this tonight? Maybe John Doyle's next to Dayler?

Bar in Dalymount - cheap pints too.

Cheap relative to Dublin City Centre prices or cheap, €3.50ish for a pint? What time does the bar open at?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,754 ✭✭✭oldyouth

Just gone with Dundalk at 9/4. I expect them to win tonight provided they can keep 11 on the pitch, which is always their problem, not just the other night. Waterford can often stutter under pressure. A lot depends on Packie Holden and Seanie Maguire for Waterford

*prepares for onslaught from the Blaaheads if they go through:p

Have'nt been there in a while but Im sure its open from 4pm or so.
Was at a game there early in the season and think a pint was €3.60

Obviously it's advantage Waterford after Tuesday evenings game but they'll be kicking themselves that they let us back into the tie and didn't kill the game off in Oriel.

2-1 up with half an hour to go against ten men represented a huge chance to finish us off. But thanks to McDonnell's cracking strike we're still in this.

Was shouting horrible stuff at the referee when he sent Maher off as I missed his little kick out. If you're reading this Mr McLaughlin, I apologise and admit I may have been a bit hasty to call you a 'jumped up little bollix'.

Thought Rafter played well the other night and McDonnell had his first decent outing of the year when he came on. Need Foran back and Griffin to produce a bit of magic and if the planets and stars are properly aligned, maybe just maybe we can stay in the big league.

In England the play-off is called the "£90m game"

    What is this worth?

I'll say one thing for LOI, it is sometimes fairly easy to make a few bob. Consolation for Waterford is that, next season, they will continue to have the honour of playing the champions of the South East.
