Not even sure we're playing bad.

1 goal from bad defending, albeit a brilliant cross.
    1 goalkeeping howling
    1 defender howler og
    1 ridiculous finish

Somebody cursed us earlier saying teams haven't been converting chances against us

He has a jersey on alright, with the exception of Gnarby the rest have no real interest in being there!

I would have thought that Kos and Djourou between them could do some defending. However, in Chamakh and Arshavin, you've got two absolute clowns.

I think AWs time is now up. He has served us well but cant bring us any further. Regardless what happens the rest of this game, enough is enough!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 930 ✭✭✭aperture_nuig

Awful stuff from Arsenal here tonight. Most of those players should be trying to show Wenger why he should pick them. At the minute they're proving why they should be sold!

4-0? you know you're over 21 when Arsenal's first eleven start looking young to you.

Great finish by Walcott but highly embarrassing half by Arsenal.
"we want our Arsenal back" being sung by the crowd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,800 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Maybe Walcott should be playing through the middle.

I actually think Arsenal may have a chance now.....

Anyone know the odds on 5-4? :pac:

Why is Walcott carrying the ball back to 1/2 way line? There are 10 seconds left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

Would Niall Quinn ever fck off.

Lovely finish there, left back should have stepped up though.

Arsenal 60/1 for the win, Lump on :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

What a joke of a first half. This is awful stuff, do the players even want to be on the pitch?

Glimmer of hope there. I'm beginning to think Walcott through the centre might not be a bad idea.

The players should be ashamed of themselves after that, after away fans paying their hard-earned to see such lack of effort and total disinterest? I can't actually believe how bad we were.

Lovely finish by walcott. Don't know why arsenal don't play him through the middle. Chamakh really is useless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,118 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

If only Walcott could do that more often. He can finish, and he has pace but his reading of the game and off the ball movement is terrible at times.

Paddy power are atrocious for some of their football odds

If you didn't know the score you wouldn't guess it from these stats

HT Stats Reading v Arsenal Shots 8-8, On target 5-2, Fouls 4-4, Duels Won 58%-42%, Pass Accuracy 73%-87%, Possession 31%-69%

They cant lose with those odds, they can just take any bet and lay half of it elsewhere and make money whatever happens.

Shameful stuff, embarrassing but the usual with Arsenal under Wenger these days. Bring in Moyes before its too late.

Poor, poor, poor defending. Absolute rubbish. I pity those Arsenal fans having that crap served up to them after spending good money.
Some of those players don't want to be there at all.
Is there something going on behind the scenes that morale is so bad?

remember what i posted in the superthread, that stewart robson said?

16/1 now awful, Reading 1/12 for the win!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Arshavin always manages to come up with a goal or assist.

Take chamakh off and either play Giroud or put someone else on and put Theo up top.

Not really. Its the same old same old. I'm with the Gunners 25 years and have never been so frustrated with what's going on. When will the drought end?

Paddy power have the draw at 8/1. Not great odds, but I was thinking to throw a few cent at it. But I think Reading might get another to finish Arsenal.

    So true

Its embarrassing if the players cared at all that wouldnt have happened. They'll start playing in the last 5 minutes as usual. No urgency or heart .

Joke usually like watching the CC because they have a freshness and desire the first team dont. Feel sorry for the keeper though hes been let down by outfield players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,450 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Our defenders are terrible. All of them. Can't believe how bad they actually are.

    Agreed.

What is behind the sudden decline (with regards to this season only)? Arsenal had it all at the start. They looked fresh, pacey and morale seemed high. Plus, the defence was finally locking up tight. I expressed the view that they might be short of goals (and I think this is true) but how have the performances dropped so much?

Is motivating the players a problem for Wenger?
