edit....3-5 days to process the support request:(

I've done the same now but my bank statement clearly doesn't match the parcel motel address so I'm probably wasting my time?

Still surviving here with no cancellation

    Me too....

Im still hanging in there thank God. Ordered mine at 10pm last night with a VPN UK new google account, AIB VISA debit and all addresses Parcel Motel.

Google really should sell this to the Irish market, I know we are small but they have their headquarters here, if only from a purely optics point of view.

The processing address on my order is "Google Commerce Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland" for god sake

for anyone that still is hanging in there are you all paying by Visa Debit? Wondering if it's something to do with the method of payment because all other details seem to be the same for people

Yep aib visa debit, exact steps as user1842 above, I ordered mine at 6.30pm. From reading over the last few pages seems that a fair few that got cancelled were mastercards?

    Permanent TSB visa debit

Worked fine my first time round and my second order hasn't been canceled yet
    19hrs and counting.

AIB visa debit here and likewise it worked fine with an order on the UK play store last week. I believe AIB handle the back-office on the Permanent TSB cards and I'd expect both cards to work the same.

My order from yesterday is is still pending. (looks to be taking the same steps as last succesful order).

For anyone who has had their order cancelled and used a visa debit card have you had your money refunded yet? I haven't?

BOI visadebit ordered at midnight last night and not cancelled yet.

Bugger, ordered one but forgot to untick the 'link to me gmail account'. Hopefully I can delink it easily enough. Also no idea if the order will get cancelled, which makes Christmas excellent for everyone. Ah well, I can always sell it for cost if it arrives in mid Jan.

Tried ordering again. Used the same card but different google account.

Only this time used irish credit card billing address with uk postcode.

Order is pending.. 90% expect it to be cancelled though.

I see the 8gb version has sold out.

Was thinking of doing similar as well - not sure if it's worth all the effort though... seems anyone successful was using debit cards

Just a bit of info, they have started shipping them out in the USA, considering they are over a week earlier than what they estimated it to be, it might be good news for some

Order cancelled again. ah well not meant to be

Am I right in saying most of people's orders which have been cancelled were using an irish credit card? It seems that most people who are using debit cards are ordering easily. There must be a different process with how they check credit card billing information or something. Just something I noticed.

It seems like that as some one else on nexus 4 10 forum reported that only when he switched from using an Irish visa credit card to an Irish visa debit card that the process worked.

My order was cancelled using a BOI visa debit card. If you go back a few pages you'll see people saying that the same happened to them with various different visa debit cards so I don't think it's down to the type of card?

I think everyone is trying to make sense of the cancelled orders but it might just be someone sitting at a desk scanning through orders and cancelling any that look dodgy?

Actually I think after I ordered I checked and mine said pre order, went to pending later, money was taken from mine as well. I wouldn't worry about it, if you ordered later on at night it's probably backlogged in the queue.

I got it figured out. It's at a "Pre-ordered" status on the Google Play webpage. When you click "Info" on that page it brings you to the Google Wallet webpage and then click "Transactions" its has a status of "Pending"

Just got a cancellation email, anyone that ordered with a visa debit that got cancelled did you have to mail them about them refunding or did it do it automatically?

Bang on man, my order is still pending and was placed with a Visa Credit Card. Kinda crappy how some people were told their order was placed and then cancelled a few hours later :(
I'm still dubious that this is a random act by Google, have a feeling something is automatically triggering the check. Has anyone who got cancelled first time succeeded subsequently? If so can they confirm if they did anything differently? - might help some others out.

    WTF's going on lads??
Just got an email from google saying "Your Google Play Order from Dec 4, 2012 Has Shipped"
That being a second order for an 8gb I made from a new account last night at half 11 that had a 4-5 week wait.
Haven't a clue whats going on but I like it!:D

I set up my visa debit's billing address the second time as my home address with the parcel motel postcode. Seemed to work a charm.
First order got cancelled btw and still haven't been refunded that either!

Edit: Just checked my tracking info and it was picked up in Birmingham at half 10 tonight and is already in Dublin, might even get this before the weekend!

I sent in the docs yesterday and received this

"Additionally, our specialists performed a thorough investigation of your account. It appeared that your Google Account was compromised and unauthorized charges were attempted in Google Wallet. We ask that you keep in mind that your 'Transactions' page will still reflect this prior unauthorized activity"
    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

My account is now back active but the original order with 1-2 week is canceled.

Can someone who has one already answer this? How is the memory organised? Can you use the whole 16GB for apps if you want or is there internal and external like older android phones.

It's my understanding that the whole 16Gb is available for storage, like most tablets (and many phones) are these days, but that the system files take up a section of this for the basic OS - approx 2 or 3 Gb I think, leaving about 13Gb available for apps and files.

I'm really looking forward to this from my HTC Desire which really didn't allow for any growth at all w.r.t. apps - hence the primary reason to install Cyanogenmod, etc. on it.

Same as any other android device really.
There is an sdcard directory in the root dir as usual which it's your internal storage.
    Here's mine...
    Screenshot_2012-12-06-09-03-32.png

I have to say I don't think the 8gb is enough. Like asphalt 7 has a 1.3gb additional file which you can't delete if you want to play it, a few games like that and your 8gb it's full.
I know my nexus 7 doesn't like when it drops below 3gb free, not sure if it's a problem with nexus 4, haven't gotten the 16gb down to it yet. Might put a few movies on it later to get it below 3 and see how it does.

It really seems now that Google are doing random checks. When they do a random check and find a Irish credit/debit card they cancel the order. It does seem though that credit cards get checked more.

Here's hoping my order does not get checked.

still showing 5-6 weeks. I asked could my original order be restored....not holding out much hope for that

Can you confirm a few things?

Is your Visa a debit or a credit card?
Did you set up a new Google Wallet account?
Were you using Tunnelbear/Other VPN when you created the Google Wallet account?
Is there anything in setting up a Google Wallet account that might help?
