    Hi all
    What is the best time to sow a beech hedge the ones that are green in the summer going golden brown in the autumn winter. ?

    November right through to March.

    Best to avoid planting in frost/frozen ground conditions.

    Have successfully planted bareroot hornbeam before in 1st week of May.

    tree roots are known to grow from the end of Feb onwards so I try to plant mine before then.
