Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Surprised he made it this far to me.
There's a serious lack of quality full backs in this league and I believe I have one of the best.

    Kyle Walker.

    Chelsea-v-Juventus-Emboaba-Oscar-second-goal-_2830919.jpg

Oscar, a diminutive Brazilian that has a touch of class. He's settled in pretty well at Chelsea and I think he's only going to get better as the season goes on. Will work well with Cazorla and Nasri.

To partner Vidic at centre-back is his real life centre-back partner, Rio Ferdinand.

    Joe-Allen--008.jpg

Joe Allen. In blistering form this season and one of the strongest CM's left in the draft, imo.

    Javi Garcia

    Javi+Garcia+Manchester+City+v+Queens+Park+BmxCwjJdLk7l.jpg

Had a decent start to the PL, very good player defensively and a threat from set pieces.

A bit surprised he lasted this long. Papiss cisse is my next pick

I'm quite disappointed to miss out on my first few choices but such is the nature of the game. I'm gonna solidify my midfield fairly sharpish with Sandro coming in to partner Dembele in midfield. These two obviously play with each other and will provide a great base from which I can build my team around.

Second pick I select Ashley Young.

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRrWjBso84V_OqJmezBwJGKQMw-g1jY4XN8rayJx4m-w4RoCy2mKw

He's picked up a bad rep from last year from his starfish antics but he's a quality player and its time I invested in some attacking players. He's excellent value at the start of the 4th round and leaves me so far with

    Agger, Demebele, Sandro and Young.

Tough choice here, went for one of the few quality DM left. Clattenburgs new best friend, Obi Mikel

    Gonna go with Javier Hernandez

    hi-res-154618832_crop_exact.jpg?w=650&h=440&q=75

Fantastic finisher, and has this year improved his passing and holding of the ball. Shinji will play a lot of killer plays through for the pea.

    Steven_Pienaar%2C_Everton.jpg

Steven Pienaar. Versatile, quality attacking player who has been on fire this season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 958 ✭✭✭eugeneious

My next pick is one of the classiest players around imo. Only RVP has contributed more goals/assists in the last 4 years. Berbatov.

    Benoit-Assou-Ekotto.jpg

Benoît Assou-Ekotto. Hasn't played a lot this season due to injury but one of the better left backs in the league when fit imo. His defending has improved a lot over the last couple of years and he's always a genuine attacking threat.

    Phil Jagielka

    3417231020a5428987569l.jpg

    Every team needs solid foundations.
You get just that with Phil.

I was going to wait to pick a goalkeeper but seeing as this guy is still going there's no point in letting him get away. My fourth pick is Petr Cech who has been an essential member of Chelsea's team for many years now.

    Team so far:

    Silva
    Baines
    Balotelli
    Cech

    Theo-walcott.jpg

My next pick is future Liverpool player Theo Walcott

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,907 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Completing my centre half pairing with a man who likes to score the odd screamer here and there.

    Kompany and Cahill is solid.

Surprised this guy is still available but not going to let him slip further and instead make my first defender drafted...David Luiz

    team so far:
    ...............Dzeko

    ...........Suarez

    .................Tiote

    Belated 3rd round pick.

Fabricio Coloccini, ball playing defender, will set the tempo for defense. Didn´t play well vs Liverpool but just too good not to improve as season goes along.

    Charlie Adams

This lad is going to be crucial to how my team plays and there is very little quality players left in his position.

    Alexander Kolarov

Full backs are hot at the moment so I can't leave this guy here any longer. John Arne Riise is my pick.

Time to start looking at the defence of my team and I pick a player who has for the last year been one of the best in the league. Has done remarkably well in the absence of vidic. Jonny Evans

    Joleon Lescott

    joleon-lescott_2136145b.jpg

Was outstanding last season with Kompany at the heart of city's defence . Hasn't hit the same heights this season so far but he is still a good centre half and also able to play Lb if needed .

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,993 ✭✭✭Trippie

at the airpoirt waiting for flight, my next pick is Peter Odemwingie. I think he will compliment Aguero quite well in attack.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,988 ✭✭✭SirDelboy18

Been in eye-catching form so far in the PL and offers me a great deal of versatility, allowing me to change his position depending on how the draft is going. A proven goalscorer and equally adept on the wings.

    Kevin Mirallas

Am on the phone so not 100% sure these haven't been picked but am pretty sure so will go ahead and pick Laurent Koscielny and someone who I'm very surprised made it this far even though he's not what he used to be is still too good to pass up at this stage in Steven Gerrard.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,988 ✭✭✭SirDelboy18

I'd thought hard about this pick - decided beforehand that I needed to reinforce the CM, but all the obvious picks are gone. Thus I'm plumping for one of the most in-form players of the past 12 months, who is arguably among the most under-rated players in the league.

    Youssouf Mulumbu

    Good young Centre half .

Per Mertesacker. Has been very impressive in the opening weeks of the premier league especially against Liverpool and Man City. Over 80 caps for Germany

I'll nab my keeper here and it might be a bit of a reach in some people's eyes but I've always been a big fan and I've been impressed by him since he arrived in the Premier League. My pick is Julio Cesar.

    My team so far...

    ...............................Julio Cesar
    Ivanovic..................................................Riise

pick 5 from a 5th different club, a man I was v surprised went to Fulham at the time who now seems to have fully adjusted to the league and is showing some good form. The Costa Rican captain Bryan Ruiz

    RUIZ1.ashx?w=300&h=490

    Suarez, Dzeko, Tiote, Luiz, Ruiz

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,907 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

With 35 goals in just over three seasons for three midtable or lower clubs, this man has done superbly for himself in the Premier League.

The big guns all went early on but I was hoping this chap would slip under the radar and I'm happy to have him leading the line.

    Welcome Steven Fletcher.

Probably the most under rated centre half in the league Younes Kaboul

For my fifth pick I'm going with a defender and and versatile and talented one in Phil Jones.

    Gylfi Sigurdsson

    gs.jpg

Has performed excellently three seasons in a row for Reading, Hoffenheim and Swansea and despite competition from Dempsey is now doing the business for a top 5 PL club.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

    Richards.jpg

My next pick is Micah Richards. One of the few quality right backs left (can also play centre back) and I'm delighted to get him at this stage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 958 ✭✭✭eugeneious

My next pick is going to be by far Wigan's star player last season and already someone who has made an impression at Chelsea. Victor Moses

    1878879_w2.jpg

Pablo - now he's adapted to the EPL, he's become a star player for Swansea and looks a real upgrade from Scott Sinclair.

On phone so no pic. Gonna go with Ryan Bertrand.

One of my favourite players and a true sportsman to look up to! Has been quality for Southampton this season!

My next two picks round off my central midfield and right wing position.

    They are James Milner of Manchester City;

    man-city-liverpool-5.jpg

His versatility is a big bonus, he's going to line up on the right wing of a front three for the time being, but his ability to also play in the centre of midfield gives me a lot of leeway with regards to formation.

  • Site Banned Posts: 549 ✭✭✭Ares

    The first pick of the sixth round is Esteban Granero of QPR;

    article-2225237-15B01197000005DC-811_468x332.jpg

He rounds off my midfield three perfectly I feel, joining Sandro and Mouassa Dembele in midfield.

There is great balance to this midfield, with Sandro being the destroyer, Granero the possession retainer and Dembele who gets license to join the attack.

I'm very happy with this midfield, really content and after the legends round I'll have a front and middle three filled.

I'm leaving myself a little bit exposed for future picks but I'm hoping to pick up a few defensive bargains in the later rounds.

    So far

    Agger

    Sandro----
    ---Granero----Dembele
    Milner
    Young
