CNN playing it very safe prediction wise but it's pretty well off the pace

I think they called Florida for Al Gore in 2000, and are still traumatized from that mistake...

Will Florida ever get the finger out - I have to get out of bed in 4 hours and I'd like to actually get into the bed soon

It's CSI Miami territory, mainly Democrat folks. ;)

Florida would be the icing on the cake.

It looks though that Romney might actually win the popular vote and still loose (a total reverse of 2000):)

In all fairness, there was shenanigans involved there so it's not exactly normal circumstances

A lot of popular votes for Obama in California to be added yet.

@Paolo_Bandini: Wait, did Kirsten Powers on Fox (curiosity got better of me) just say "we are becoming a more 'brown' country"?

    Jayus!

I always find it intriguing the role the wives play in these campaigns, even in this modern age. Especially given the fact that Michelle Obama has been the boss of the most influential man in the world -I guess behind every good man there really is an even better woman! :)

After 2000 which traumatised me only slightly less than Thatcher's 3rd win I ain't taking any chances. I want to see then declare dammit!

Watching Fox news, even for a laugh, is ultimately depressing, so I tend to stay the hell away from it.

Romney was Governor of Massachusetts and they didn't even vote him in. Wouldn't that be kind of embarrassing for him? He seemed to boast a lot about his achievements as Governor. That's so strange. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Fox news is hilarious, they just had Sarah Palin on and she is sick as a parrot, clenched teeth smile and all. Now they're cutting to stories about earthquake warning systems.

Serious questions will have to be asked of the future of the GOP, the amount of young voters turning their back on the party is telling.

Yes, it is ridiculous that voters in 'safe' states are ignored and the elections are decided by a small number of states.

And the delegates to the Electoral College could technically vote for a different President than whomever the public elected. Sooner or later there will be a Constitutional Crisis.

In all fairness, if they were trying to appeal to young voters as not being the rich fundamentalist white man party, Romney wouldn't be the man to broadcast that appeal
