Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Newcastle just happy to repeatedly kick the ball off the pitch when they are stuck. Need to put one away now and finish them off.

Good to see someone in the box...pity it was Shelvey.

How many corners were cleared by the first newcastle defender?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,399 ✭✭✭✭ThunbergsAreGo

Referees really handle time wating badly, Krul was at it all game and no booking. Feel people should be warned and booked when its obvious no matter what time of the game. Waiting until late in the game does nothing. A Keepers equivilant of diving

    What's Pardew's beef?

    Shelvey has being shocking..

Everyone on here wanted him on at half time

liverpool players need to learn how to take a fkin corner!...and why was Suarez the only one who can score a goal taking the last free kick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,648 ✭✭✭mav79

Until a striker comes in this is going to be the way most of our matches pan out.

Suarez extremely lucky he got out of the way there. The intent was clear, very dangerous.

Decent game in the end. Didn't think Newcastle would hold out.

Shout out for the referee, thought he was excellent, let the game flow as much as possible and got very little wrong.

    Bit of a generalisation.

    Also, wow what a goal!!

At least Shelvey was where he needed to be, where was Gerrard for most of the game?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

    So frustrating.

Suarez can't do it all himself, we really needed someone else to step up.

We really need work on our corners. Shocking today.

everyone?? ..i really dont see the hype with Shelvey.

Newcastle become the eighth team to go to Anfield and not get beaten this
season. Gomel, Reading and Anzhi the three beaten teams.

Shelvey missed two but was in position to miss them, while i dont think he is in our top 4 midfielders, i think he should start, hes just a massive unit who attacks the box

Enrique was very poor. Some woeful decisions and still holds onto the ball for far too long. Ffs just pass the ball when it's one.

Downing! Downing! Downing?! Put on Assiadi, he isn't a coward.

So disappointing and again this week.

And he played for Depor 5 years ago?

You can piss off with the condescending attitude too, I watch football in all the leagues.

The ball was on the floor so there was no intention of even trying to play the ball. Connection there and it's a broken leg.

If that was anyone but Newcastle I reckon you would be criticizing Suarez for making the most of it.:pac:

the ref was decent today. we seem to always whinge about refereeing after games on here, its the common theme.

We just were not good enough today in fairness.

He needs to pull Suso out of the firing line for a few weeks now, use him as an impact sub.

Sterling was brilliant today, he is going to get even better in his decision making.

Why is Gerrard still taking corners, he is brutal at them, never beats the first man.

I though the game was crying our for Assaidi when it was 1-1 and BR brings on Downing :(

Disappointing point considering Newcastle were dreadful.

I thought Shelvey did well when he came on.

His finishing was terrible but did anyone see gerrard/Sahin/Allen making those runs into the box?

He's good but I would prefer to see someone who wouldn't miss some very good chances.
