Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    He's dead is he?

Playing like it so far this season, dont get your knickers in a twist because you were wrong about him being fat.

You'd think one of them would tell him to get a haircut.

Could have been a nasty one between Sahin and Perch.

Goal!!! Surely from this free kick! Suarez?

I'd still call him fat tbh. Useless bulk that hinders athletic performance may as well be fat. :pac:

Has Suarez had a hand/wrist injury for the last few months? Why is he wearing the wrist support all this season?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

I think Sahin or Suso should have had a chance, the angle was too tight to really trouble the keeper.

Newcastle look shocking so far but Liverpool pretty blunt. First 20 minutes have flown past.

I've no problem with players bulking up, especially defenders just as long as they don't lose their speed.

    Decent chance from Suarez there.

Ok, whats up with this whole - people shouting "Goal" - thing?

    I don't like it :(

So you'd be as wrong as Melion saying there isn't an ounce of fat on his body?

This opening 20 minutes proves how influential Tiote is to Newcastle. Perch is a liability in there, midfielders walking past him. Shocking defending from Taylor there.

Why didnt Allen put his foot through it???

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

Pity Allen nearly got to it. Should have been a decent chance.

Perch having a shocker or else needs more help in front of the back 4. Now he is down, need Bigi to come on.

The match thread the other night, a few people were about 19 minutes ahead of the rest of us. It was strange :)

Gaining muscle doesn't specifically make you slower, it's quite the opposite.

The streams during the week were all over the place, some people were 3 or 4 mins behind.

    Gaining too much does.

we are far too loose in the final third, really lacking composure.

Suso is a little off the pace

Its an already tedious post modern joke from Wednesday night, when everyones streams were about 3 minutes behind the action but one or two people updated via twitter so let the cat out of the bag.

The muscle he has gained has made him a lot slower, he has the turning circle of a barge nowadays.

Right and does no harm either jostling for the ball as well.

Pretty much the same happened to Lucas too. Had to beefen up to deal with the toughness of the league.

Liverpool are in trouble now. Here comes Simpson

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Is Danny Simpson any better/worse than Perch

A fat barge? :pac: Nah generally like once someone looks like they've put on "too much" muscle it means that they have. There'll be other players bigger than him but it'll be proportional and fit them, he just looks really, really awkward.

Once again Liverpool not turning possession into goals.

    Danger of Newcastle sucker punch.

Not really. Tell that to Tyson Gay, John Blake, Usain Bolt. All extremely muscular guys.

We tend to whip crosses into the box at every opportunity, whilst having nobody in there. Bizzare

They add muscle for a sporting purpose. Very specifically to add explosive power.

Enrique adds muscle to look good with his top off. (as stated by Gerrard himself)

The think the reason Anfield is like morgue is down to the way Liverpool play now, the ball is doing all the work rather than players running with it so the crowd do not react. How to Barcas home crowd keep a noise up? :p
