Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

City playing eleventy strikers to try to go top.

    Will probably backfire on them

    Carroll will score.

Milner injured in the warm up, Barry in.

I've bets on Mario to score and be booked.

United have sent Howard Webb to London for this one.

I expect City to win this one. Allardyce's teams don't usually do well against the top sides. His teams beat those around him and usually finish in the top half of the table but in games like these their goal difference usually takes a battering. West Ham have looked pretty solid so far this season but they have only faced one of the top teams so far. That was Arsenal at Upton Park and they lost 3-1.

Didn't think referees could wear the same kit as players, same shirt and shorts as Hart.

Left ear was off, can score with that. Great call.

Was the same story in the Arsenal game earlier, both the officials and Vito Mannone wearing piss-yellow.

Dzeko put off by wrongful offside flag in the corner of his eye, should be 0-1 City, disgrace.

7/2 about west ham is tempting. They are playing well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,907 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Even if Zabaleta's only half fit, get him on for Kolo already.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Tevez Dzeko and Balotelli up front is looking good to me at this early stage. WHU defenders can't get a grip on them yet IMO.

Just switched on; are City playing 3 at the back again?

Nope, Kolo and Clichy are full backs, Nastasic and Kompany at centre half.

Kolo's brutal. Zaba will likely make an appearance

    Ah Mario :o

    Shocking by Mario there.

What sort of reaction is the crowd giving Tevez? I can't hear anything.

Exact same handball penalty Red Mike Dean gave United early.

Wheres the United fans sayin it was a dead on penalty? Hypocrites.

Dzeko again not doing enough when given a start, a lot of attacks breaking down when they get to him.

Apart from the miss Mario's been quite good.

He's definitely been the most lively, he's finding ways to get in for chances that the ther two boys aren't. Dzeko seems to suit more when we're going gung ho to win a game, he just can't hack that bit of build up play.

Great buzz in the ground by the sounds if it , City in big trouble if whufc score first.

Mike Dean is presumed to be a Liverpool fan. Weird post.

BTW, I think that penalties given for those kinds of handballs are harsh.

He looks good now and again but for me he is not a team player. I think he gets in the way too often in attack. I think Aguero is a much better option up there.

    Agreed on Dzeko.

To the best of my knowledge Mike Dean has given more penalties to United than any other referee. There may also be a red card record in United games where the opposition have a man sent off but I'm not nearly as sure about that one.

Aguero is our best striker, of course. Out of the three there now. Tevez is too deep and Dzeko doesn't look in it enough so Bal is our best bet for a goal. The only proper way of intrigrating Aguero imo is if Bal and Dzek go off and you have Tev and Aguero as the front 2 with a man in the hole (Mick McCarthy Gif), but with so many midfield players missing we can't really do that at the moment, plus 2 strikers off would be far too much of a change.

    Coincidence though, right?

The FA has actively removed him from refereeing a Liverpool match (FA cup final in 2006) fearing he may struggle to be impartial.

In no way am I suggesting that he can;t remain impartial, I'm just a bit baffled as to how people can presume him to be in favour of United.

Anyway, this is OT, so back to the match. If City have to win, I hope Clichy gets 3 goals and 3 assists, for FF purposes. :D

City seem to be missing Silva a lot! Aguero for the last 25 mins.

Great closing 25 mins in store.

Great buzz in the ground by the sounds if it , City in big trouble if whufc score first.

Doubt it, all City pressure 2nd half. I'd expect WH best chance is City to score first, ease off and WH to sneak one at the death!

If WH score first City will go all out and get a few.

Don't see WH keeping a clean sheet.
