Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Today.

So far: scrambled eggs (no toast), cup of tea. Another cup of tea with a handful of M&Ms.

Later: open fillet steak sandwich with garlic butter and fried onions, with broccoli and fried taties. Water. More tea.

That should be my lot for the day. Maybe another cuppa but that's all.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,199 ✭✭✭Shryke

No breakfast, had a lie in, just tea. Lunch was roast potatoes with sprouts, chicken and gravy. Green tea after.
Later on will be more tea and I think I'm eating out so I'll have to play roulette with the menu wherever I go. I'm keeping off coffee and it's going well enough. I love the stuff but you get to the stage where you don't know if you need more or have had too much. I'm more or less the same but without the need for the stuff, and keeping the diet nutritious. I'm in love with good health... and sexy ladies.... ladies... ;):pac:

So far-breakfast: bowl of porridge with milk, cinnamon and a banana. Cup of tea. Half glass of apple juice.

A couple of dried apricots as a snack.

Lunch: a vegetable stirfry (carrots, beansprouts, white cabbage, broccoli, peppers) with thai sauce. That didn't fill me up enough so I had a roll with smoked salmon and rocket with vinaigrette dressing. Cup of green tea.

Not sure yet what I'll have this evening, I have some parsnips potatoes and sweet potatoes that need to be used up so I'll probably roast them. I usually make chips from the sweet potatoes. No meat only frozen fish in the freezer so I'll probably have that with the veg.

Think I might open a bottle of wine later but have to take it easy with work in the morning.

I'll be getting into cooking sooner or later so I think I'll start posting here:P

Breakfast: Cheese toasty with onion, ham and two slices of cheese pan fried. I also randomly rubbed the outside with cut garlic before I put it on. And a few sweets. Tea

Lunch: Tomato ham and cheese sandwich (two for one per-sliced cheese:P) Tea and chocolate cake.

Tea 3 or 4 or 5 times so far and one cup of coffee.

I'll probably have a chicken burger, waffles and canned sweetcorn later. (and chocolate cake...which bizarrely tastes a little bit oniony as we left it on the same plate and on top the packet)

I mean this in the nicest way, but reading this thread has made me feel less unhealthy:D

Yes, of course I will come to your house and eat your dinner. What time will you have the steak on at? I will also have chips, and onions. But if you give me onions make sure to "open all doors and window, dont smoke or use a naked flame, turn off the gas at the meter also" as I get ALOT of gas...

About to prep a homemade gluten free spag bol. Ten times better than any I've ever payed for. Restaurants aren't able to do a good one. It's sad a lot of places can't seem to beat a jar of Dolmio, but at least I can.

I'll be good tomorrow I swears it.

Yeh, well, I said tomorrow. Tomorrow. Honest.

I'm so full I can barely move. And I had lunch at 1.30!

    Today I've had...
1 sausage, 1 poached egg (I make the best poached eggs ever), grilled mushrooms, a slice of toast.

Then I feckin went for "a quick lunch"

"italian nachos" which are deep fried cheese ravioli with arrabiatta sauce.
slow cooked shin of beef ragu with papardelle pasta.
Chocolate, raspberry & amaretto brownie with vanilla ice cream.
    2 Lattes.

    I'm now having a beer.

    Tomorrow. Yes. Tomorrow.

(actually I've made lots of good food for the week so I will be good!)

  • Registered Users Posts: 222 ✭✭SmilingLurker

    Porridge, boiled egg, toast.
    Toasted cheese and tomato sandwich.
Sea trout, broccoli, cauliflower, red pepper and potato, homemade mince roll ( like mince pie).

Tea and water with all meals.

I often batch cook for the week ahead. It works out cheaper, and means I have something healthy I can eat when I get in the door and am too tired to cook. It also means I know what goes into all my food, and whilst I love food, during the week I do just view it as fuel. The weekend is a different matter. :)

    So this week's menu:

(B: eggs, L: minced beef hot pot (a lunch-sized portion), D: chicken curry with a small portion of rice or potatoes, drinks: cordial and lots of tea!) x 5

Yup, I'll be eating the same thing each day, with maybe a midweek choccie bar. :o:)
