has anyone ever seen a .22lr lever action rifle that loads from the side like the centrefire versions?

I've fired a 22 mag level action but can't remember the loading of it.

I can't remember ever seeing a 22 lever action but I'm sure they exist alright.

No, they are all fed from the tube at the top of the mag.

Only 5,000 made the first version was side loading in .22 LR, then went over to tube loading in later model. You can find one for sale occasionally in the US, for several $1,000 depending upon make. The fancy one with engraving, brass receiver and maple stock started bids at well over $3,000.
