3D Modelling PC budget ~€700

    Hi Folks,

    I'm helping a friend put together a PC for a graphics design course he is starting soon. He'll be mostly be using 3dsmax, Photoshop, Mai, Blender and maybe some Autocad.

    My idea is to get him the best CPU for his budget with a decent low end video card (I'm tending towards ATI).

    1. What is your budget? €700ish

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? 3D Modelling

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? yes (Windows 7)

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? no

    5. Do you need a monitor? no

    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? 1680x1050

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Card Reader

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? maybe

    8. How can you pay? Bank Transfer/Credit Card

    9. When are you purchasing? In 30 days
