Well it seems the grass growth will be stopping which was the bad news.

Snow would be good if there was going to be very severe frost.

I take it back, he made no bones of a strong easterly fetch by Saturday! Interesting too that he drew up the graphic estimating higher precip on the east coast fringe. Based on the rest of his forecast that could only ve from wintry accums.

Anybody up to speed on sea temps? This mild period must be great for adding potential for lake effect snow in the set up Gerry just showed

Most of the time temperatures have been below normal.

The current mild weather has been the exception.

We just have to move the Isle of Man for this cold spell of weather. So we all get snow on the east coast and further inland as the wind increase,s and Blizzards rage for weeks and weeks till april.....

Great to see the English weather people have a bit of a sense of humour by adding in the last part of the forecast. Don't normally see that with met e. they csn be very boring telling the weather no personality. I'd say they are told dont dare mention the s word or what might happen at the end if the week lol. Nula is my fav

They had some great forecasters in their day all who gave great presentations. Sadly Evelyn is the only survivor from the bunch.
It's more like a fashion competition now between the girls!!

12Z ECM....the dip has become a dive.

Next weekend's easterly looks to be off the menu, but still a long road ahead. The ECM was the only model that was showing something like this anyway, so there was always a risk with it.

Still plenty of potential in the longer ranges.
