I don't know if this will be perfect but it's better...

All seems to be reliant on the development of a shortwave at the southern tip of Greenland if I'm seeing things right, if it develops it pushes the high over us, if not then the other shortwave slides down its eastern flank and heights can build north as happens on the ECMWF run

There is a trend to weaken that shortwave. Maybe with the 00z having more new data it will take an even bigger step?

Tis a warm current we get. Keeps alot of the ports in Northern Europe from freezing.

From my time swimming down at the half Moon on the South Wall. The sea although cooler can still be as pleasant as summer. Your balls freeze when you get out.

That looked like a good run to my untrained eye.

Why is the Atlantic so strong though?

I'd imagine it isn't a particularly warm body of water so where does all its energy come from?

Is it simply the sheer size of the ocean to our West that gives it all the energy?

I reckon we have very limited chances of significant snowfall in Ireland, even the east coast will struggle .

Some potential for us I think as well, particularly if you live in the East! Much better charts so far! Of course the morning charts are often notorious for their downgrades so we shall see.

from an imby perspective, if the current charts verify,, it looks good for me next Tuesday, but still would prefer to see epic snowfall at home.

We need to be able to build high pressure north though. Otherwise it just delays the Atlantic. Need blocking.
